The lowest figures were for sexual offences (4 per cent), with only 1.9 per cent of recorded rapes prosecuted – down from 2.4 per cent the previous year.

Really depressing reading.

"The lowest figures were for sexual offences (4 per cent), with only 1.9 per cent of recorded rapes prosecuted – down from 2.4 per cent the previous year".

And of course the conviction rate is low also.

Still, the justice system has other priorities of course. Limericks and such like.
