Man who bludgeoned other man to death tries to avoid extradition to US on the grounds that he is a woman

Kevin Patterson bludgeoned a man three times his age to death with a shovel. He was arrested in Canada and initially tried to avoid extradition to the US on the grounds that he is gay, and he had been sexually abused in prison in the US

Subsequently he has said that he is actually a woman called Rachel, and that if he is extradited he must serve time in a women's prison. Patterson's lawyer has claimed that the prejudice against transwoman in US prisons is so extreme he would be 'ripped to shreds'.

Extradition is going ahead after assurances on the protection of transgender inmates were received.

These excuses are just paper thin. You can’t just magically go from identifying as gay to identifying as trans because the first excuse didn’t work.
I hope that they don’t send this person to a women’s prison. You don’t want to be sent to a men’s prison? Don’t kill someone.

The biggest issue here is obviously the misuse of words, right?
In fact, what if the shovel was pink, which would make the battering-to-death a womanly crime?
What's more ladylike than killing your neighbour, stealing his car and his money and partying?
