Just seeing if you've all seen this, and what your stories are regarding this. I'm sadly not surprised.
I hate that we live in a time where a lot of people feel guilty for going on mat leave. And where employees are treated like they have no ambition if they decide to go part time because of reasons to do with care (whether it's their children or their elderly parents). You can be ambitious and also work part-time - can't that be a thing?

Entirely unsurprised, sadly. I successfully fought against a case maternity discrimination thanks to my union, and their advice was that my employers would likely fight it all the way up until tribunal and then offer me compensation plus a non-disclosure agreement to drop it. Because they’d seen that exact employer, and many others in the same field, do that exact thing before.

Not remotely surprised; I'm on mat leave just now. Employer was a bit useless during pregnancy (refusing to make adjustments then totally sidelined me) and they're now restructuring the team. Technically my role still exists but it's changed a fair bit. Went for a new role (which was a great fit) and didn't get it, but to make matters worse the feedback gave two reasons which were both pretty much directly their fault (e.g. they made it impossible for me to access info I needed, basically, then said I wasn't successful because I didn't know about the stuff I couldn't access!)

I was supposed to get a call back over two weeks ago to tell me who got the job (possibly my new boss!) and I also applied for another role which they've just left hanging for 6 weeks.

Think I'm about to get screwed tbh.
