Just listening to 5 Live Emma Barnett (just started at 10am) and in the next hour she will be interviewing Aimee Challenor.

Thank you Pencils. It is shocking.

I can't say any of these activists come across as well polished. They are feeble in the extreme as thinkers and speakers. They are so implausible. I find it hard to articulate my thoughts as they will get me banned.

I think ultimately, Sheila Jeffreys is right to say it is a men's sexual rights movement.

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 23/01/2019 19:02

Thank you, Pencils, for the transcripts.

ChairmanMiaow123 · 25/01/2019 13:11

I actually feel rather sorry for AC.
As I understand it, both he and his brother are trans, they were in and out of care, as kids; their mum called DC’s 10 year old victim ‘a lying little slut’.
They have no fucking clue about how to behave and conduct themselves as adults when they’ve been brought up in a household like that.
Their moral compasses must be shot to shit.

AC gave a ‘talk’ on transgender issues in a secondary school fairly local to me and i’ve written a letter to the headteacher, outlining why AC is highly unsuited to such a thing.
I quoted particular bits from the Verita enquiry and enclosed a copy of the report in the envelope.

I really hope i’ve given the headteacher pause for thought, although she may just think ‘shut the fuck up, what’s it got to do with you?’
I’m not a parent of a pupil in that school, but I really hope she takes on board what i’ve said.

We’ll see...

QuietContraryMary · 25/01/2019 13:37

Aimee's brother is NOT trans, that's just a habit of referring to 'pack members' as sister/brother (fetish talk)

The 'lying little slut' was as I understand it the victim's (ex) gf, who spilled the beans after their break up.

When did Aimee give this talk? Recently? Or pre-rape trial?

ChairmanMiaow123 · 25/01/2019 14:13

@QuietContraryMary,

I’m always happy to be corrected. So, thank you.

And it was on 11th October last year,
for ‘International Day of the Girl’

QuietContraryMary · 25/01/2019 14:18

Ugh. Someone recently posted some anecdotes from Aimee's time at school on kiwi farms. They do not make pretty reading.

calpop · 25/01/2019 14:30

I cantvget over the arrogance of AC and LM. They did not work hard at school to get qualifications and then fight for a place on a suitable course at university, yet they still think they are owed a career in politics, despite a considerable lack of exuctauon or experience. Mind boggling.

QuietContraryMary · 25/01/2019 15:04

I think AC worked reasonably hard at school, but AC has a lot of special needs and frankly has no business being in a position of influence over policy. The blame is with the headteachers, Stonewall, political parties, etc., imagining that AC is some sort of authority on transgender issues.

calpop · 25/01/2019 15:15

I've just read the KF entry on AC and require brain bleach. I also habe a remnany of sadness/sympathy for the little boy that AC once was before they were utterly corrupted by hideous parents. But this person can not ever be in a position of influence, not without a lot of therapy.

R0wantrees · 25/01/2019 15:35

And it was on 11th October last year,
for ‘International Day of the Girl’

ChairmanMiaow123 can I just double check this is please?

10 January 2019 Veritas Report released

Sunday Times coverage
'Green high-flyer Aimee Challenor hid father’s rape charges'
extract
"An independent investigation has found that Aimee Challenor, a transgender activist and candidate for the Greens’ deputy leadership, committed a “serious error of judgment” by appointing her father, David, as her agent at two elections even as he faced trial for kidnapping, raping and torturing a 10-year-old girl."

the full 80-page report, seen by The Sunday Times, is more critical. It says Challenor, the Greens’ equality spokeswoman, had been guilty of a “serious omission” by not telling her local party and most national officials about her father’s charges.

Challenor blamed her autism for not doing so and told the inquiry: “At the end of the day you can’t go about telling every Tom, Dick and Harry.” The investigators said they found it “hard to understand some of Aimee’s actions and explanations”.

I suspect ChairmanMiaow has her years mixed up; Aimee appeared in 2017 at an International Day of Girl event.

elthamhill.com/2017/10/19/young-womens-conference/

2017 is not last year, though it might seem like it....

R0wantrees · 25/01/2019 16:48

QuietContraryMary Thanks for clarifying that it was October 11th 2017.
it usually takes me until the second week in February before I remember which year it is

David Challenor was accompanying AC on many public events including those where there were children present, often as official photographer.

Given the trial started in August 2018 there would have been pre-trial hearings in the preceeding year. David Challenor pleaded not guilty to all charges against him which meant that the young woman he tortured and assaulted when she was a 10 year old girl had to give evidence.

From the Coventry Live report on David Challenor's convictions:

(extract)
The horrific crimes
Prosecutor Andrew Wallace said that most of the charges related to the ordeal of one girl.

“The defendant will call her a fantasist and a liar about the allegations, but she made them before the police went to the defendant’s house and made a search," he said.

The offences came to light after the girl confided in someone about an incident, which was reported to police who interviewed her towards the end of 2015.

Mr Wallace said Challenor had "various sexual fetishes and fantasies" including dressing up as a small girl himself in onesies and adult-sized baby dresses and nappies.

Pretending to be a little girl called Lucy, when the girl was at his home he took her into the attic where he asked her "to do things to him" before he assaulted her.

Challenor also tied her up and gave her electric shocks, before taking pictures of her.

After leaving, she was initially too frightened to tell anyone what he had done, but eventually did so.

When he was arrested, Challenor denied the offences and claimed the girl was "a fantasist".

However, officers found the attic in which the girl had been abused and it was as she had described.

Indecent images
In addition, indecent images were found on a memory card in a digital camera, including some of that girl, which Challenor denied being responsible for taking.

And on another device were indecent images of children which had been downloaded from the internet. (continues)

Challenor was jailed for 19 years for the offences against the girl, with a consecutive three-year term for the images, and ordered to register as a sex offender for life.

Recorder Syfret told him: “It is hard to comprehend how you could behave with such depravity. The harm done by you to her is hard to overestimate.”

ChairmanMiaow123 · 25/01/2019 16:51

@QuiteContraryMary, you’re absolutely right - i did have my years muddled up. It was in fact 2017.
Sorry for the confusion/goose chase.

It was Eltham Hill School in South London.

elthamhill.com/2017/10/19/young-womens-conference/

Apologies if I haven’t added the link correctly...i can never quite get it right.

R0wantrees · 25/01/2019 17:03

from 2017 link above:

"11 October is marked as the International Day of the Girl. The day aims to highlight and address the needs and challenges girls face while promoting girls’ empowerment and the fulfilment of their human rights. Every year on this day Eltham Hill holds its Young Women’s Conference. Speakers and workshop helped highlight issues faced by girls.

Our speakers included Gabby Edlin (founder of Bloody Good Period) Amaal Said, (Artist and Poet), Dave Myers (Joint Head of the Forced Marriage Unit) and Aimee Challenor (Stonewall Trans Advisory Group).

Aimee Challenor talked about her experiences as a young transwoman and explained the work that the Stonewall Trans Advisory Group is doing to aid and amplify trans voices. Aimee, along with Ms Zionts, led a workshop that examined whether transwomen were included enough in current feminist movements and led discussions on how we could work to promote more inclusive notions of feminism."

Aimee Challenor was representing Stonewall at this school event:

ChairmanMiaow123

It may be worth sending a copy of your letter to the Chair of Governors as they have the ultimate responsibility for the school.

The governors will have members of the community who are not current parents deliberately in recognition of the position that school has within the community.

Safeguarding children and vulnerable people is everyone's concern and responsibility.

ChairmanMiaow123 · 25/01/2019 17:53

@R0wantrees That’s great advice, thank you...i’ll do exactly that.

If the school writes back, i’ll post an update.
