Haha well get woke go broke isn't a saying for nothing.
One thing is it should make them think twice about any forthcoming adverts " this girl can" showing a transgender woman beating the shit out of a woman in the ring or crossing the line seconds ahead of a woman in 100 metres sprint.

Calvinsmam · 21/01/2019 12:14

Pardon children I don’t really understand what your point is?

Well I think that it’s really worrying that men’s egos are so fragile they can’t even cope with an advert which is basically a love letter to good men.

Goes to show we have a long fight ahead of us if we ever expect men to deal with Male violence.

StarCutterCookie · 21/01/2019 12:35

Not surprising, although the message is very well intended, it's presented in a cringey cliche way.

It'll be interesting how Gillette tailor their Venus shaving products, my guess it'll still be lots of beach fit beauties continuing objectification

I must be reading a different report. None of what was written was a cause for concern.

Longtalljosie · 21/01/2019 13:05

Do you know what though - it’s suddenly struck me how many women buy men their razors in the supermarket. It does strike me this might not even have been aimed at men at all...

Calvinsmam · 21/01/2019 13:06

Well quite long

MoggEatMoggWorld · 21/01/2019 13:11

Until Gillette stop their ridiculous advertising to women shaming them for having perfectly normal hair on their legs and underarms, they’re no ally of women.

They literally invented the concept of women’s body hair being “embarrassing” in order to make money.

Longtalljosie · 22/01/2019 09:31

I don’t think they’re necessarily an ally of women. They’ve just made an advert they think women will like...

AntiSocialInjusticePacifist · 22/01/2019 10:45

Also don’t forget the whole “pink tax” that what is ultimately an identical product a woman’s Gillette razor is a few quid more expensive than the male varient...

QuietContraryMary · 22/01/2019 11:42

Doesn't say much. They want to sell razors. That's all this is about.

ColdBrexitWithMilkForBreakfast · 22/01/2019 11:56

Men are pathetic shocker.

Badstyley · 22/01/2019 12:05

Some men have a tantrum when it’s suggested that they act like baseline decent human beings, well colour me shocked I must say.

Disclaimer, I view it as nothing more than a headline grabbing, cynical marketing ploy, but the reaction does speak volumes, and anything that shines a light on some men’s toxic fragility is most illuminating.
