Oger believes it both a human rights violation and a literal crime to disagree publicly with the "trans women are women" mantra.

Oger is seeking a meeting with Vancouver police to outline Oger's view that feminists gathering to discuss a range of issues facing women (and streaming it on the internet) is tantamount to cyberbullying driving people to suicide.

They are going to start imprisoning feminists with the next few years. I’m sure of it.

YY. They have lost the plot.

stochastic terrorism I've seen this term on lefty political sites, in the context of neo-Nazi type stuff. People argue that, for example, the Philadelphia synagogue shooter was prompted to his despicable acts by listening to neo-Nazi speakers and hanging out in neo-Nazi online spaces. My understanding is that the phrase grew out of the idea that although those speakers and spaces may not be hatching specific plans for murder, the probability that someone reading/listening to their messages will hatch such plans is so high that the speakers/writers bear some responsibility for whatever those people carry out. So in other words, even if you can't predict who will respond to the message, some messages are so hateful that they will predictably result in violence carried out by a random actor.

I don't endorse the concept but believe that is what it is supposed to mean.

Also, despite Oger's screeching that the Murphy/Lakeman/Blaney event was comparable to "Polish death camps," feminism has fuck all to do with neo-Nazis. FGS. Oger claims to have Jewish heritage, but I can't imagine any of my Jewish friends minimizing the horror of the Holocaust by comparing a peaceful gathering of women to a concentration camp.

You could equally claim the same about what TRAs say about gender critical feminists. Much more so, given that the sort of male person who commits terrorist acts will generally have a history of DV/violence against women, and it's more likely they'll be listening to MRAs or TRAs for inspiration than gender critical feminists.

I think they mean stochastic as in there's a stochastic (random) element to the relationship between cause and effect. So the cause will bring about the effect on average rather than as a matter of course. E.g. chopping someone's head off is a deterministic way of killing them, whereas calling them horrible names until they complete suicide is arguably stochastic.

Presumably this will set a precedent for multifactorial allocations of blame for crime in general. The murderer's mum, for not giving him enough cuddles? The Met office, for telling everyone it was going to be a fine night (they wouldn't have been out and got mugged otherwise)? The fraudster's employer, for not giving her a raise?

If I were Meghan Murphy I think I would actively try to move away from Canada.

But she is brave, and a patriot, so she stays to fight. Courage calls!

As an aside, someoneDatun I think?remarked on the Posie police thread that TAs get extra worked up about Posie because she's attractive. I think the same thing applies to Meghan. All actual women piss TAs off, but especially those who remind themand everyone with sight-at a visceral level that no amount of surgery or medication can make a man out-woman a woman.

My proof-reading is a disgrace.

They hate most the thing they want to, but cannot ever, be.

Even in the Handmaid's Tale Canada is a free state with a free press. Being more like Gilead is not a good thing Mr Trudeau Hmm

I feel like writing to our Prime Minister again re the self-ID proposal with a request to look at Canada and ask if this is what she wants for New Zealand. Hell, I feel like writing to Prime Minster Trudeau asking him if he is fully aware of what his Government has unleased upon the women of Canada.
