I saw this on the front page of the print version of our local paper today.

The Otago Daily Times is an independent newspaper, and has a robust readership, so I shall keep an eye out for letters to the Editor over the next few weeks.

'Mx is used on official documents in the UK'. Is it really? I had no idea.

I googled 'Mx" and according to Wikipedia Mx can be used on official documents in the UK.

I'm not sure of the official status of Mx in New Zealand, though this 2016 article in the NZ Herald www.nzherald.co.nz/lifestyle/news/article.cfm?c_id=6&objectid=11699495 does discuss the term in a fairly light hearted fashion.
