I'm listening too. The penny seemed to be sort of dropping at the start of the hour when he admitted that he didn't get it because he is a man. But then said that he feels more sorry for transwomen than actual women. He has no interest in engaging with facts that might challenge his pre-conceived world-view, smugly assuming his views are perfect just as they are. Since the Brexit referendum I've found myself far less tolerant of this kind of smugness than I was before. Having just read Poverty Safari my tolerance can now be measured in micrograms.

Tbh, I never listen to him now, as he's the kind of man that confirms all the negative prejudices about right-on men that I try not to let unduly colour my rational thought processes.

The less attention I pay to smug, arrogant misogynists who believe they are being progressive when they bully women, the more chance I have of not wanting to run off to an all female commune and take up weaving my own yoghurt.

I’ve just discovered Posie Parker’s YouTube entitled ‘My thoughts on James O’Brian’ (sic). She’s posted after the discussion about The Telegraph article and gives her opinion of James and his recently expressed views. She mentions she called in to LBC and spoke to Nick Ferrari earlier the same day so couldn’t call and speak to James.
