I've just read this on the bbc news site.

I'm equally saddened and angry that this child wasn't given psychological help (unless I missed it somewhere?) and were obviously a Tom boy and probably gay (as identified by the school mentor).

I'm glad they are happy now but there are huge gaps in this story and I wonder if the happiness will last. How does his fiancée fit in with this. Has she happily accepted she won't be able to have biological children with them? Surely their sex life is not the greatest with an artificial penis. They are both still so young.

So many questions.

Is that mermaids t-shirts they are all wearing? Shameless plug if so.

"I’ve been volunteering for the last few years with a charity which specialises in helping trans children and teens, mentoring kids in the same situation as I was."

How does his fiancée fit in with this.

It may not be the case here but many who transition seem to have relationships with other transitioners.

The trans world is more than just changing gender, it's a whole lifestyle encompassing employment, leisure and relationships.

There is no journalism. No robust questioning. The BBC is supposed to give a balanced view. There are never any of the downsides of transitioning described. Just rainbows and unicorns. I am sick of it

I've just linked this BBC3 program from January 2017 which concerns another female who is a transman and discusses his pregnancy:
