Period tracking app that's not Clue?

Hey all. I was using Clue to track my cycles, but I found the OTT wokeness a bit much, and ended up uninstalling it. Can anyone recommend an app that's easy to use and isn't going to give me eye-roll related injuries?

Omg what is a gay trans man
I can’t work it out

TheCraicDealer · 09/01/2019 15:28

I've been using it for a year now and had no idea about their wokeness- no reference to it on the actual app as far as I can see. I won't be changing because after a year (and currently TTC) I have historic data on it that I need, but I would've gone elsewhere at the outset if I'd know they were catering to the blue rinse brigade.

Flo seems to be the one most people use on the conception boards.

I use Period Diary. Works for me.

rememberatime · 09/01/2019 15:33

I use Clue too - but I'm not engaging with their additional content. Just ignore it. They can be daft if they want to. 95% of the women on Clue won't bother reading that. If they do, 80% will say "bollocks". That probably leaves about 5 women who go "yeah, that's so true..." while doubled over with period pain or changing their pad three times an hour.

"Many people equate menstruation with femaleness". Funny that.

GrouchyKiwi · 09/01/2019 15:33

I use Flo. It's decent and not annoying.

QueenofallIsee · 09/01/2019 15:34

Flo - nothing woke, just calendar and symptom logger!

12fromcold · 09/01/2019 15:37

Offs I love that app! Why have they decided to throw all scientific knowledge out of the friggin window

homegrownmumma · 09/01/2019 15:39

Flo , it's easy to use 👍🏻

Ereshkigal · 09/01/2019 15:44

I use Ovia, don't find it overly woke.

silentcrow · 09/01/2019 16:00

I trialled Flo and Clue side by side and have, annoyingly, gone back to Clue because the "insights" were totally irrelevant and kind of daft.

Tbh though it's mostly the reminder to take my pill and ticking it off that I need, having switched to a POP, so I'm in the market for something with less bells, whistles and wokery.

Iverunoutofideas · 09/01/2019 16:10

I always used mydays (free one) - to conceive ds1 and started tracking on it for ds2 but manically got into fertility friend (Grin) - neither were woke.

MotherWol · 09/01/2019 16:22

Right, I'll give Flo a go. Thanks all!

I use Flo - seems to do the job

StuntNun · 09/01/2019 17:17

I've been using Period Tracker Lite since 2013 before that I had a spreadsheet lol and I've been very happy with it. It's free too which makes it even better.

PreseaCombatir · 09/01/2019 17:57

I use period tracker too, I think I had the lite and upgraded, but can’t remember why/what the features were that were different. But I’d definitely recommend

happytocomply · 09/01/2019 19:08

I use Flo and Period Tracker Lite. Like them both. Had Clue but deleted it as found it annoying, hadn't noticed the wokeness although that would have annoyed me too.

GreenDinosaur · 09/01/2019 19:20

I've been using Period Tracker since 2011, it's great. Really easy to use, warns you when you are due, simple to switch to pregnancy mode, etc.
I'd recommend it to anyone.

Galvantula · 09/01/2019 19:54

I use fertility friend. Hangover from my charting and temping days Blush

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 09/01/2019 21:17

Oh handy thread, OP!

I have been using MyDays happily for years but the last year my periods have been all over the place (BF then changing pills then no pills then copper coil) and MyDays has now given up trying to "auto" calculate my cycle. Which is a bit annoying because I want it to make an educated guess rather than having to go with standard 28 days.

Will try Flo, because I cannot be doing with woke shit.

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 09/01/2019 21:19

Having looked at Flo, the second line of its description of itself says "for women".

I'm sold. Smile

Voice0fReason · 09/01/2019 22:18
