One of the posters explains this curious request:

Can't say how I know this due to :powerlevel:, but with regards to that FoI request, it's been very cleverly worded to bamboozle the Council who should have rejected it. Essentially, by asking for variation in "places" rather than asking for data about children, it tries, and succeeds, in asking how many of these children (of whom there would not be many) are at each school rather than request any identifiable data about children (which would have seen it rejected). It is unlikely that more than a handful of these children are placed each year, so by watching the changes in figures he can work out what school a particular child goes to (which should make the request invalid, but the Council's FoI team were too dumb to figure out what he was doing.) He is not cruising for victims here, he is trying to find a specific child. He knows the target child is in that category, he knows those children are not placed often and he knows when the child he is looking for was placed, and when he has a breakdown by year and by school he can work out by process of elimination where that child goes to school. He is also asking for a bunch of irrelevant data (school type, other years) to cover his tracks and hide what he is looking for, and the Council fell for it.

Aimee has a separate thread on KiwiFarms as well.

I'm amused/disturbed by Aimee's description of American male lover, and Scottish transfemale polyamorous lovers as 'family'. Family?

The family that shits together sticks together?

womanformallyknownaswoman · 10/01/2019 01:29

Whilst one can feel empathy for having an horrendously violent and sadistic father and the damage that brings to children- the facts are some will come out of it as abused and some will go on to be abusers.

When as an adult, one has enabled and taken part in wholesale abuse and targeting of many, many women - that behaviour has consequences and shouldn’t be conflated with over-empathy. Separate the person from the behaviour. People have the opportunity to self reflect and consider the impact of their behaviour - to apologise and make resistitution for harm done- that is the behaviour of someone contrite and deserving of forgiveness,
I have observed none of that behaviour from Aimee - quite the contrary.

womanformallyknownaswoman · 10/01/2019 01:52

Wow Aspie that KW thread is very illuminating - so the father was looking for a specific child and used the FOI to find them Shock- it seems as though officials dealing with safeguarding need to undergo predator training as they obviously aren’t competent to do their jobs without comprehensive knowledge of the lengths these types will go to plus their deviousness.

Thingybob · 10/01/2019 03:59

The photo certainly shows an unusual family! A couple of decades ago the only time you would have seen that 'family' would be when they were standing on a station train spotting. No way would any of them be public figures or have any say in social policy. I'm all for inclusiveness but come on, should we really be giving any power to any member of this 'family'?

DanaBarrett · 10/01/2019 06:29

I think what’s more interesting is the part of the email Aimee hasn’t screenshotted. That email includes a ruling made by the Regional Green Party on the case. Now why wouldn’t you want to share that!

Katvonbatshitmermaid · 10/01/2019 06:35

I stupidly read the kwiw farms thread on AC before I went to sleep. Not a good idea.

House of horrors.

Terfing · 10/01/2019 06:56

Look, what Aimee did was very wrong, but they was also groomed by DC. DC is the bad guy. He is the one who committed this abuse and ruined so many lives. Aimee was just a child themself when it happened.

Aimee was also taken advantage of by the Greens, and I hope that this will be addressed in the report. The Greens used Aimee to score woke points. They didn't bother to check Aimee's background, abilities, and so forth. All they cared about was appealing to the trans community. I can see why Aimee went along with it. What teenager doesn't like to the that they're special?

Aimee is 19, I believe? And sadly, their life and career will be forever haunted by their father's abuse, their own terrible upbringing, the Green party's incompetence, and so forth. Let's have some sympathy and try to remember who the real culprits are here.

Floisme · 10/01/2019 07:13

I'm more interested in what the report says about the Green Party.

I know that sounds sanctimonious and it's also not entirely true - of course I'm curious. But it sounds like Aimee has exercised their Maxwellisation rights (or whatever they're called) to the letter. I doubt whether there will be much to see.

What I think might be more revealing is what comes out about safeguarding and decision making procedures within the Green Party, and about lines of accountability. And the way the party responds could be very interesting indeed.

Needmoresleep · 10/01/2019 07:16

The important thing to remember after reading that shocking family background, is that AC is, from her twitter "Secretary @stonewalluk Trans Advisory Group" and well as vice-Chair of a Coventry LGBT youth group.

The same Stonewall that advises schools, government, charities and major firms on LGBT and diversity/equality issues, despite radically changing its lobbying focus and approach in 2015 when the "T" was incorporated into their LGB constituency. It is not clear how Stonewall's Transgender policy is formulated or adopted, or indeed who is on the policy Committee given that members are allowed to remain anonymous, but it is obvious that there are concerns not just for women, LGB's and indeed transmen and transexuals, about the focus and balance, but real concerns that the safeguarding of children and vulnerable people are not being taken on board fully, perhaps not even understood.

The KF thread is shocking, but more shocking is Stonewall's willingness to promote a 21 year old, with relatively few qualifications, into such a position of power and influence. I hope the Veritas report is such that Stonewall either review this, or face scrutiny.

(Not so worried about the LibDems given Layla Moran's ability to see into people's souls!)

DisrespectfulAdultFemale · 10/01/2019 07:31

The 'report' will be a whitewash good only for wiping one's arse with.

EatCrisps · 10/01/2019 07:57

The FOI request is chilling.

Was this information provided?

OrchidInTheSun · 10/01/2019 08:06

Also Needmoresleep - Stonewall produced the trans guidance for the police which had to be rewritten as it contained fallacious information about what constitutes a transphobic hate crime.

Crisps - yes, the council supplied the information. I have seen it.

MoltenLasagne · 10/01/2019 08:15

That FOI is incredibly worrying, not least because he is falsely claiming to be a Reverend as well as using a fake name. Surely, surely, being called Baloo would have given them pause?

AspieAndProud · 10/01/2019 08:25

I think they assumed ‘Baloo’ was an ethnic name and not some creepy furry fetish thing.

andyoldlabour · 10/01/2019 08:32

@R0wantrees

Beatrix Campbell, what an incredibly brave and intelligent person for speaking out like this.

Dragon3 · 10/01/2019 08:36

I totally agree Terfing. DC is the bad guy. GP was desperately incompetent and needs to learn from its mistakes unlikely to happen IMO

Melroses · 10/01/2019 08:36

The same Stonewall that advises schools, government, charities and major firms on LGBT and diversity/equality issues, despite radically changing its lobbying focus and approach in 2015

I hear they have also been writing Police policies for them.

(as an aside, could you not @ me on current threads please as it means I'm getting uneccessary emails.)

R0wantrees · 10/01/2019 08:45

This would have been just after his children (including ‘Aimee’) were taken into care.

Some parents will go to considerable lengths to try to locate their children when they have been taken into care if this or other knowledge about them has not been shared.

I don't know anything about the Challenors cases.

andyoldlabour · 10/01/2019 08:46

R

Does that mean I leave out your whole screen name or just the @?

I wondered why I kept getting loads of emails just lately.

hackmum · 10/01/2019 08:59

Absolutely horrified by that FOI request.

feministfairy · 10/01/2019 09:09

Yes Needmoresleep
Many schools are 'Stonenwall' champions. If a school decided to appoint anyone to a position where they could influence policy - be it staff, governor, consultant - and who was being investigated for such serious allegations, the school would be subject to serious challenge.
Why are Children in Need, Oxfam and other charities in such trouble? Because they ignored the need for safeguarding and ignored the risk that some of their staff posed to vulnerable service users. Safeguarding is about anticipating risk and on occasions that means that some people despite their vulnerability) are not able to be appointed while there are relevant safeguarding issues to be resolved. It's difficult but the needs of children and service users should always come first. Safeguarding always has priority - always!
