His first tweet was dismissive but fair play to him, he listened to what women told him. Fingers crossed being a man of science encourages him investigate further. Also, no telling him to die in a fire, (or at least in the tweers I skimmed) which is nice for him.

His book A Brief History of Everyone Who Ever Lived: The Stories in Our Genes is very good.

Only ordinary people's thinking seems to travel in this direction. Famous people seem to go the other way (due to what? Threats? Horse's heads? Pressure from their agents?)

"Hello World, how to be human in the age of the machine". Very interesting (and accessible) discussion of how computing, algorithms, etc are of benefit to us, but their potential drawbacks too. I'm completely untechy and finding it a very easy listen.

I have his book, haven’t started it yet as I had something to finish first, I’m looking forward to it.
