Following on from my Ocado boycott thread(s) I went to Waitrose today for a few items as I was sent a few money off vouchers in the post and didn't need a full shop to warrant online. £8 off of you spent £40 instore. Great, I thought, I'll get myself some nice healthy treats for my health kick and maybe a few brexit items. Got to the til and had forgotten the vouchers Shock Got home, phoned customer services and explained what happened and despite being my fault as I forgot the vouchers, she (Emma/Emily) said she'd send me a £10 gift card in the post!

I had a Waitrose delivery just before Christmas that I was able to book about a week before (that would never happen with Tesco) and the delivery guy was lovely, gave me mangoes free of charge because I'd ordered the wrong ones (fresh instead of dried) and was really helpful bringing the shopping in and helping unpack.

I love Waitrose. They not only know what a woman is, they care about their customers. I still shop at Tesco and Asda but regularly use Waitrose delivery now. Asda only because there's one within walking distance for top ups of basics.

So well done Waitrose and thank you to Emily/Emma Smile

They are the only shop in the whole country whose self scan tills aren't evil.

Several of my favourite things from Ocado were the Waitrose own label stuff, so I'm happy I can still order them without supporting Ocado.

Waiting for the first retailer to do an offer on ‘Brexit items’...

Pleased to hear; I swapped from Ocado to Sainsburys over the piss-poor handling of the billboard issue, but would certainly consider Waitrose for some of the tasties I miss.

Not the point of the post sorry, but what are Brexit items?

PerverseConverse · 04/01/2019 16:17

Extra things added to my shopping so I've got essentials in the cupboard in case of supply problems due to brexit. Have a look at the brexit peepers threads if you'd like ideas Smile

Ahh okay thank you! I was picturing Farage themed cheese or something. The actual explanation makes a lot more sense Grin
