Survey completion

I've just been to a local theatre and after my return they offered me a satisfaction survey

On my form it offered the following options -are these correct descriptions as these seemed a little off.

Male
Female
Trans-female
Trans-male
Other

I am struggling to understand the terminology ( I identify as female btw) as I though it was not possible to be trans female or trans male.

Am I missing something here?

Goodness knows what they mean ...but that clearly implies they don't think trans-females are females

Trans-female means born male, identifies/presents as female. As opposed to actually female. I think that's fair enough.

Trans feminine, trans masculine works. Transwoman, transman is more usual terminology.
But humans can't change sex, so 'trans female' or 'trans male' is an impossibility.

Errol I thought so, being 'woke' in a survey and not understanding the meanings of the terms.

If I saw that I'd think "trans female" was a female transing to be a man and vice-versa.

I wouldn't register with Spotify right now if this sort of thing winds you up either because they've added a new option to their registration forms

Non binary is such a wind up because all NB-identified people are all either male or female!
