Having "become" a feminist this year (when younger, I thought I didn't need to be one, as things were now equal
) after spending time lurking on FWR, I have been discussing various issues with DH.
I encouraged him to do the GRA consultation and he was very busy with work at the time but agreed to do the FPFW "one-click" version.
I have generally had the impression that he slightly humours me because he doesn't realise (a) how sexist the world still is, and (b) how much of a threat to women transgender ideology is.
However, this year, instead of buying each other presents, we decided to donate £100 each to charity on behalf of the other person (as we are both very picky and prefer to choose our own stuff). I chose Save The Children as we are lucky to have added another child to our family this year (I "bought" a midwife kit, a set of things for a newborn, and a food parcel to feed a family for a month).
Imagine how pleased and surprised I was to open my card and find out DH had donated his £100 to FPFW! He really does take it seriously, and knew it was important to me. Just wanted to share with everyone here
