Peaked the local librarian

Yesterday I called at the library and had a fine to pay. I told the librarian to keep the change and she said they had a children in need charity box was that ok? I said I no longer give them money because of their support of transgender charities such as mermaids and explained what these charities are doing and what susie green did. She was truly shocked about hormones and castration, breast binders etc and said his wrong it is and how crazy the world is. I then told her about children being told that boys have periods too and she was stunned. I'm not sure the library will be supporting CIN anymore now.

Small steps to waking up the world on this appalling situation.

Lots of other charities benefit form CIN. Why not contact CIN about who benefits rather than looking to cut off funding?

Because you need to hit them where it hurts for them to think about their position. Money is the only thing that talks.

Well done. Us little unimportant ladies work where we can. Grin

BirdieInTheHand · 22/12/2018 10:11

Lots of people (myself included) have contacted CIN re their unwavering support of mermaids. No response. Best way is to hit them financially.

Find them and give to them direct, thus cutting out the middle man of the charitable industrial complex, saving on endless overheads, and avoiding the social engineering of the lessers organised by those who think they're our betters.

What about that?

userschmoozer · 22/12/2018 10:21

Didnt CIN also stop funding Glasgow Rape Crisis because they didn't do enough for men and boys?

Bowlofbabelfish · 22/12/2018 11:42

I’ve totally reviewed all charitable giving. No more to amnesty due to their stance on women. No more to CIN. No more to CRUK.

From now on I will donate only to small causes I can verify myself. And I’ve already explained to quite a few people WHY I don’t buy from various shops or support various causes. And every single one of them has had the same ‘dont be daft... what..? Really...?’ Followed by a ‘I looked it up and you’re right. I told everyone at work/school/parent group etc. They were shocked.’

THAT is how the fightback happens. Women. Talking.

And that’s why they will do anything to shut us up.

I genuinely think some of the larger distributors of funding don't really care. They just want to tick boxes. Look at their blind dedication to Kids Company?
I give directly to charities where I'm fairly sure I know where they are spending the money

Macareaux · 22/12/2018 11:52

Same here bowl. Stopped Amnesty years ago. This is the first year I haven't given to CiN. Instead giving direct to women's causes.

PerverseConverse · 22/12/2018 12:13

I have personally been helped by the Pankhurst Centre in Manchester and am going to be donating to them. They would like me to donate my time but at the moment I can't do that so I'll be giving some money.
