"There are going to have to be some pretty serious inquiries down the road about how this became so prevalent and how affirming treatment became the so-called international best practice," he said.

"I don't think people are aware of the implications of it.

"And we're actually harming people by not allowing them to have access to biological sex-affirming treatment."

This is just the tip of the iceberg. I feel for him.

Poor guy.
"He said he raised questions in online transgender support groups, but was blocked almost immediately because he was "challenging the accepted wisdom" and was accused of being "transphobic"."
Hmm

Poor guy.

This is what it's going to be like. No questions. No support now it's no longer a mental issue .

And they find out who their friends really are...

I had a client who came to see me who was about the same age. The same thing had happened to him. He felt he had been forced in a way into living as woman by the person he was living with who was big into the scene. He lived as a woman for 13 years and then came to us to change all his documentation back to a male name. He hadn't had the surgery luckily for him but had been on hormones and felt that he had really messed up his life.

I felt very sorry for him it was a very very sad story. He said there was no counselling available to him and he felt absolutely fast tracked down the pathway.

If people who transitioned 15 years ago feel they were hurried into it or not given opportunities to explore alternatives, how much worse are the stories going to be 15 years from now?

1260 in the census? So the other 74,000 trans people are "lesbians" and blue haired heterosexuals?
