According to Andrew Gilligan, a senior Scottish prison official convicted of possessing 22,000 indecent images of children and now on the sex offenders' register was one of those responsible for introducing its “gender identity and gender reassignment policy” which places men in women's prisons according to their self identification.

Absolutely brilliant and succinct article. No waffling, other that the obligatory ‘she’ pronouns. A pervert was involved in making g it easier for men who identify themselves as women, to gain access to vulnerable females. Surely not? That could never happen. 😒

Sex offender helping sex offenders.

Almost like a ring of sex offenders that's exactly what it is

BoreOfWhabylon · 02/12/2018 02:36

Another stone lifted, revealing what lies beneath.

Thanks Andrew Gilligan.

Some 48% of transgender prisoners are sex offenders, the Ministry of Justice said in a freedom of information answer earlier this year, compared with less than 20% of the prison population as a whole.

This is a chicken and egg situation. On the one hand the trans umbrella is so wide that it includes paraphilias criminologists say are more common among sex offenders while on the other sex offenders have an obvious motivation to be transferred to the women's estate. I hope those assessing such claims have a very high index of suspicion.

Stonewall's umbrella does great harm to the trans community, bundling people with crippling gender dysphoria in with fetishistic cross dressers.

And later: Ministry of Justice figures show the number of women in prison for sex offences has risen by 40% in three years, from 93 in 2015 to 130 this year. The figures do not distinguish between biological women and trans women.

Just as we've been predicting, recording crime by gender identity is skewing the crime figures and leaving them unfit for purpose. It's already happened.

Terfing · 02/12/2018 03:44

The sad thing is, I'm not even surprised by this shit anymore.

Maybe we need to ask why it is that so few women seem to experience "gender dysphoria"? It seems that GD is an exclusively male problem. I wonder why that is.

LaPufalina · 02/12/2018 06:58

It's prominent on the app's front page, too.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 02/12/2018 08:02

Thank fuck for that.

ChewyLouie · 02/12/2018 08:12

Bore you’re right, true colours finally being revealed and they’re not the sparkly, pretty rainbow they latched on to.
I’m going to show my naivety here, 1 in 2 does shock and horrify me. I didn’t think it was that high a figure. The state has sanctioned the abuse of women prisoners by perverts, and must now enforce a blanket ban of male prisoners being allowed into women’s prisons. I don’t give a fig about where they are as long as it’s nowhere that gives them access to vulnerable women in prison.

boatyardblues · 02/12/2018 08:30

In December 2016, Pike pleaded guilty at Paisley sheriff court to possessing the images over a 10-year period. He avoided jail after claiming he was given the material by an unidentified caller to the LGBT Centre in Glasgow, where he was co-chairman. He said he had not viewed the images, though he knew what they were. He was sentenced to community punishment.

What a pile of egregious horseshit! Angry On the other hand you have rapidts going off scot free because the testimony of young women is discounted as unreliable.

boatyardblues · 02/12/2018 08:31

Rapists

ChewyLouie · 02/12/2018 08:33

Community punishment, this crap really shows the rotten system for what it is.

HandsOffMyRights · 02/12/2018 08:35

Another piece of excellent journalism from Andrew.

Exactly how long are MPs going to bury their heads, even when confronted with the stark reality that gender identity is being used as a cover up for all kinds of deeply disturbing motives from prisons to schools?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 02/12/2018 08:45

I'm finding it interesting that people like this are pushing the trans agenda, Pike pushing men in women's prisons, Challenor pushing for people to not be automatically kicked out of the greens if convicted...

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 02/12/2018 09:15

More on this here (I haven't verified the accuracy)

scottish-women.com/2018/12/02/scottish-prison-service-policy-written-by-trans-lobby-group/

°There was an article in The Times Scotland about ‘Women are being put in danger because Scottish prison chiefs allow male-bodied transgender inmates to live in female-only areas of jails, campaigners have warned’ which stated –^

“Scottish Trans Alliance did not respond to a request for comment last night. However the org has previously defended the SPS policy”

I’m not surprised they have defended it previously considering the policy was written by their manager James Morton.

When you click on the policy to open it up in iBooks the Author is listed as James Morton.

LangCleg · 02/12/2018 09:19

When this house of cards falls, which it will, watch all the pusillanimous politicians who were too afraid to speak pretend that they were on it from the get-go.

I see you. And I will never forget.

RedToothBrush · 02/12/2018 09:20

Been expecting something like this tbh. Simply because safeguarding has disappeared and of course who was going to step into that void?

Unsurprising.

LemonJello · 02/12/2018 09:28

James Morton was also co-author of the equality impact assessment of transgender policies within the Scottish Prison Service, which did not consider there to be any impact on women. Angry

WrathofbubonicKlop · 02/12/2018 09:41

Nicola Sturgeon was said to be 'alive' to the issue.
A careful choice of words there.

Hope it means what I think it means.

RedToothBrush · 02/12/2018 09:44

Nicola Sturgeon was said to be 'alive' to the issue.

Well I guess that makes her a zombie then.

Ereshkigal · 02/12/2018 09:48

I see you. And I will never forget.

Me neither.

HamiltonCork · 02/12/2018 09:49

I will not forget either.
