I know this subject has been done to death but I can't seem to find out the answer to this.

Why are trans people not happy with being trans people? They say "trans women" are "women" but if the first thing is different to the second then surely it is obvious they cannot be the same thing. I totally support their right to change gender etc, but how is the argument standing up that you can change biology?
But my main question is:
why are they not happy with being a separate "thing", a trans person. Why do they want to join themselves to the sex of the gender they want to be?

I am not female and I know that I cannot become female, but I can and do live in a way analogous to the way that women live. I make no claims I cannot justify and my life is better for it.

Ask this on a forum used by trans people. Its pointless asking women, we don't have any control over what trans activists do. They have a louder voice than ours, they have billionaires and governments backing them. And they are prepared to use violence to get what they want.

Women are second class citizens the whole world over. We are having our language and spaces taken away from us while at the same time being told we are privileged. Its a bit rich to demand we explain why.

It's not rich, I know trans people post here. I don't belong to any trans forums as I am not trans.

Bit odd. If someone wants to know how to do something on a computer or fix there washing machine, people ask here and people offer advice, it's the same.

I have absolutely no idea how any trans people feel about anything. Mainly because I am a woman, not a transwoman. You'd as well ask me what Kim Jong-un wants for Christmas!

As others have said, that's a question that only a trans person can answer. The rest of us can speculate as to why, but cannot answer.

Yes, some transpeople post here, and if you're lucky some may visit this thread.

Actually scrub that. As Where said, it's only speculation and yes, needs to be replied to by someone who knows.

I can help with plumbing questions but otherwise, as has been said, you are best asking that question of people who are trans.

I don't know. If you ever find out, please post it here, because I think a lot of us would like to know the answer to this question.

Only trans people can answer this, so you'd be better off posting this where there are a lot of them.
