Feminist Current website is unobtainable

I found out this morning when I tried to click through to an article from Twitter. It's possible that there is an innocent explanation and the site will be back soon, but in the light of Meghan Murphy's banning from Twitter and WordPress's suspension of GenderTrender, I'm not holding my breath.

I can't see it either and don't see anything on their Twitter or FB pages. Perhaps it's a DOS attack. It'd be horrifying if they've been forced down.

I'm thinking more and more that we need to make sure we're connect and organise offline too.
Im already seeing a rise in local groups. Might be time for some more old fashioned zines/newsletters and telephone/email trees to share info too.

I wonder if it's a denial of service / hack or if the TRAs have got to the hosting provider?

Definitely this would be good. We need to be present online also though. We need to get our content onto hosting providers who have decent security and who won't bow to pressure from TRAs.

Just tried to access. No dice. So many activists in IT. Very frustrating, but we keep on keeping on. Surely not everyone in IT believes TWAW? There has to be some inner rebellion against the koolaid drinkers. The authoritarianism is bringing a backlash to social media platforms. Remember offline majority don't believe. We've gained attention in the media, had excellent speakers - they've had unintelligible word salad. It all counts. Have faith.

No but I think there are a fair amount who don't really care about women's rights. It's a very male environment in the main.
