Intriguingly, in every year for the past five, the NHS area covering Surrey, Kent and Sussex, which includes Brighton, has sent more children to Carmichael’s service than the whole of Greater London — although it has half the population.

Social contagion anyone?

The Times has really gone to town on this issue (trans children) today. 4 articles on the News front “page” of the app rather than in the comment section. So good to see some much-needed light being shone on this ideology.

Justhadathought · 25/11/2018 18:06

Good article, and lots of interesting comments beneath. That many TRA's insist that it is just" a small handful of rad fems" who have serious concerns, then looking at the comments sections below any of these pieces will show otherwise.

Hard hitting article.
Well done The Times

So impressed with the Times for covering this issue and asking the questions that need to be asked.

ChattyLion · 25/11/2018 23:06

Thanks for the links. The Times is it there telling the truth massively. What a relief to read plain talking about these complex issues that are leaving kids being pushed down a route to being a medical patient all their lives, taking away their capacity for reproduction and sexual pleasure. I hope that the rest of the media will stop being so scared now and follow the Times’ lead.

ChattyLion · 25/11/2018 23:06

*The TImes is OUT there, that should have read

Placemarking for articles. Thanks OP.

There’s also this one about Helen Webberley and her husband. Apologies - I don’t know how to do share tokens - perhaps someone else can provide:

GP couple face questions after giving sex-change hormones to 12-year-old

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/bb732330-f02a-11e8-9fcf-225198b37f0e

The article is fairly factual (covers her conviction and the GMC’s commencement of an investigation against him, as well as their ban on him prescribing hormones online). The article is grouped with the other three OP linked to. Interesting editorial decision - very impactful.

Bluerussian · 26/11/2018 07:05

Too much publicity about trans issues nowadays, imo. It's over the top, fashionable.

You have to start to share it by email, then take the link from that. It took me a while to work it out.
