The Sunday Times has several articles about trans issues today, so I thought I put them all into one handy post for anybody who likes to read them.

Brighton school:

*Did anybody else's blood run cold at this from the first article?

"In Brighton, an LGBT charity called Allsorts Youth Project has launched the UK’s first group for “trans or gender-questioning” children aged 5 to 11. As of March, according to Allsorts documents, it had 27 local members with an average age of nine.

Trans adults facilitate the space in order to give children positive role models,” the documents say. The charity’s Facebook profile picture states: “Allsorts means family.”**

Pop It really sent a chill down my spine

Trans adults facilitate the space in order to give children positive role models,” the documents say. The charity’s Facebook profile picture states: “Allsorts means family.”

This is because it is a cult.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 25/11/2018 09:48

Like The Family?

OrchidInTheSun · 25/11/2018 09:50

And that leaders of LGBT organisations in Scotland and Yorkshire have been imprisoned for paedophilic offences. Grooming in plain sight is acceptable when it's covered in a thick layer of glitter

scepticalwoman · 25/11/2018 09:51

And the Mail on Sunday have this article:

There's also a letter - the link is to the whole letters page so you need to scroll down 'The folly of early gender transition'

The comments under these articles are fantastic-people know this cult for what it is. A Haddock is also mentioned for his links to Helen & celebrating when Megan Murphy was banned from twitter, for stating a man is not a woman -hilarious.

Popchyk · 25/11/2018 09:56

Even the words "facilitate the space" had alarm bells ringing for me.

It seems like a deliberate attempt to distance the actions of the adults from the adults' purpose in being there. Which is having contact with children.

Sparkyduchess · 25/11/2018 10:04

The times are outstanding on this, and Andrew gilligan is excellent as ever.

Remind me of the accepted stat for proportion of trans in the overall population?

I think around 0.02% of the population, which is 2 per 1000.

From Gillian’s article, that school has 40 of 1650 kids who are trans, which is 2.42%, so nearly 15 times as high at the average.

If I include non binary, the total is 76 of 1650, 4.24% of kids. That’s STAGGERING.

Theinconstantgardener · 25/11/2018 10:07

Thankful for all this coverage. I was beginning to despair after the celebratory '60 percent agree with self identity' tweets and reporting Scottish consultation results this week

HandsOffMyRights · 25/11/2018 10:10

Responding on Twitter to an NHS psychiatrist who accused her of “making stuff up”, Green wrote: “You need to f* off. You know nothing.”

I want a meme please, in the vein of "You know nothing Jon Snow."

Seriously, what other CEO would say that?

Needmoresleep · 25/11/2018 10:10

Interested. When the youth sports club I used to volunteer for applied for the equivalent of the Sport England club mark, there was a long list of requirements.

These included making sure all coaching staff and relevant volunteers had full DBS checks and suitable qualifications, AND having our safeguarding and other policies clearly accessible on our website.

Looked at the Allsorts website and can't find their safeguarding policy. I recognise they are not a sports club, but given the age group they are working with, a clear policy is even more important. And if they dont have a suitable policy, and volunteers coming into contact with children, dont have enhanced DBS checks, the Local Authority should keep them well away from schools and not provide support or publicity.

Plus the LA should expect those giving advice to have relevant reputable qualifications.

WSPU · 25/11/2018 10:22

Thanks so much for putting these together. Much appreciated.

Iused2BanOptimist · 25/11/2018 10:38

I wonder if a certain Dr has realised the wheels are coming off his career yet? Burned his boat with the NHS and private gender GP may be looking less secure what with his friends the Webberleys being investigated and prosecuted.

gendercritter · 25/11/2018 10:43

Fantastic articles. It's so refreshing to read some sense. My heart breaks for those kids really. They are the victims in all this

HandsOffMyRights · 25/11/2018 10:52

I think a certain Dr has realised he can be famous and finally get attention. That's why another Dr, famous for looking at people's genitals on TV, is jumping on the bandwagon.

Fame puts you there where things are hollow

Ali1cedowntherabbithole · 25/11/2018 11:27

Fantastic series of articles. Have read online and asked DH to pick up the print edition to leave lying around.

ErrolTheDragon · 25/11/2018 11:35

There are a couple of other articles which may be of interest on FWR, I made another thread as I don't want to derail this one, but I don't think anyone has noticed it.

Is it likely to be custodial? I’m assuming she will be struck off

Don't get your hopes up.

“At some point, a politician other than David T Davies will crack. They have to surely?“

They are all too busy with Brexit and Leadership skullduggery. None of them wants to put their career on the line over this.

My MP assures me he is closely monitoring the situation, but I have no idea if that reply came direct from him or not. He’s a Cabinet member so I know he is extremely busy but, as an MP, he is very efficient at getting things done. I think, if the email came from him, he will do exactly what he says.
