Hi Angry, new to mn or fwr?

New to MN in that it’s the first time I’ve posted, but have been following this debate on here for some time now. Definitely not new to FWR (assuming that stands for feminism and women’s rights)? Always defined myself as a socialist feminist but becoming more radical with age. Have you had a chance to check out Prof Winter yet?

Ha no sorry ranting on another thread! Will try tomorrow as I definitely turn into a pumpkin at 9pm (small non sleeping human to feed all night.)

This was really good. And it led me to the video of the whole debate of the motion "society must recognise trans people's gender identities", in which Bronwyn Winter and a (male) philosopher from St Andrews Uni (i think) debate two transactivists

What's interesting (and encouraging i think) is that a vote on the motion before the debate resulted in 76% in favour, 4% against, 20% undecided. After the debate, this had moved to 65% in favour, 24% against and 11% undecided. A strong indication of whose argumenst were more convincing.
