Who is this week's Comic Relief inspirational female figure?

I can't find this on CR website, or their Twitter feed, and I was looking forward to finding out as well.

Am I doing it wrong?

Apologies if there's already a thread on this, and I'm doing Mumsnet wrong as well.

They can't have run out of inspirational female figures to give the spotlight to on Women's Wednesdays already, surely?

Have just read up on Lili Elbe. Its awful what they did to themselves. Not inspirational, except in the way of, what not to do.

I dont see why such mutilation and self harm probably as a result of mental illness or being medically misadvised and trying to fit in with society's constraints at the time (lili wanted to marry a man) is being held up as a good thing.

Interesting choice, a woman I'd not heard of who does deserve to be known.

You'd have thought they could have managed to tweet their choice earlier than 6:22 pm though.

Juells · 21/11/2018 20:28

When I look at that twitter post it shows it was posted around 10am. But only one reply, so not sure how that happened.

As we develop our work going forward as a creative agency for social change, we will continue to listen to our friends and friendly critics who want to engage in this conversation with us.

That's a real 'fuck off', isn't it? What a sense of entitlement.

ShotsFired · 21/11/2018 20:30

Juells a good dozen replies (min) have been deleted. I had them on my screen earlier. All critical.

Very very poor show and I am annoyed I refreshed that tab now!

AngryAttackKittens · 21/11/2018 20:30

Ah, the "pretend that really embarrassing thing didn't happen" approach to ballsing things up.

ShotsFired · 21/11/2018 20:31

...For example the one I c'n'p earlier:

grin was drinking from my water bottle and nearly dribbled it all out because I smiled so broadly at this:

WHERE'S YOUR INSPIRATIONAL #WOMANWEDNESDAY TODAY EH? Been looking but the page is eerily quiet after last week's first Woman Wednesday was all about a bloke who killed himself trying to put a dead woman's uterus into his body last century.

YOUR MISOGYNY IS SHOWING.

ShotsFired · 21/11/2018 20:34

And now that twitter account is mysteriously empty:

Angry, makes their comment of "however, we’ve also heard from a lot of people who thought this was the wrong choice, and by making this choice we were undermining our support of women’s rights." ring a little hollow!

(Yeah we'll fix it but we'll still delete anything we don't like Hmm )

As BournemouthWomen said BEFORE YOU DELETED THEM, COMIC RELIEF SM FUCKWITS:

YOUR MISOGYNY IS SHOWING.

Keep digging....
