That's interesting, on page 10 they reference press reports ONLLY FROM THE GUARDIAN

9 12 September 2018 10 Reform of the Gender Recognition Act – Government Consultation, p21
11 For example, David Batty, “Transgender law reform has overlooked women’s rights,
say MPs”, Guardian, 17 October 2018
12 For example, Nazia Parveen, “Transgender prisoner who sexually assaulted inmates
jailed for life”, Guardian, 11 October 2018 13 Jamie Doward, “Women’s groups claim ‘silencing’ on transgender concerns”,
Observer, 14 October 2018

Ok, e need to get emailing MPs over the weekend to and briefing them on the debate...

It seems the writers of this pack only read the Guardian and have had to hold there noses to check the Daily Mail for a token article …..

And again, it's only an admin change.....

Just a reminder that the GRA will be debated On Wednesday. It is chaired by a Conservative MP, David TC Davies.

There is a link to the briefing pack above. I am writing to my Labour MP to ask him to go and to explain my position to him again, I've already been through this with him at length.

I will be reminding of this polling which shows the UK does not actually believe TWAW so he is seriously out of step by insisting the UK population all has to go along with that. He does not have my consent to give away.

I will also be suggesting that he thinks hard, not just about prisons but Labour's position on single sex hospital wards, which TWAW and self ID will open up to any male that wants to be there.

I will be sending him links to this video explaining the invention of gender dysphoria.

HedgehogPoo · 18/11/2018 14:45

Thanks for the Sheila Jeffreys link, I hadn't seen that one.

We all need to contact our MPs about this and ask them to attend, but armed with information about what's really going on here.

It's a disgrace that Gender Trender has been taken down as it is a fantastic source of information.

Electron1 · 18/11/2018 17:55

My MP is Labour. I met him a couple of weeks ago and he was very receptive. He had been shocked by the policy that enabled and supported Karen White and was promoted by my visit to think about his position. He asked me where the line should be drawn.

Please send MPs the polling linked above, it really underlines that people don't accept the myth of sex change taking priority over reality..

Oooo. Bump

Here is a link to Helen Staniland's Twitter where she has pinned the polling. She crowdfunded to pay for this legitimate poll.

You don't need to be on Twatter to read it. The download is safe.

Send it to your MPs. It's unequivocally saying that the UK population don't agree male bodies are free to be female for all purposes.

Women Ask Questions commissioned privately crowd-funded research into gender identification with @PopulusPolls

19% of people consider a person who was born male and has male genitalia but identifies as a woman to be a woman.
52% would consider this person to be a man.
20% don’t know, 7% consider this person to neither be a woman or a man and 3% prefer not to say.

OP posts:
HedgehogPoo · 18/11/2018 19:16

I would be surprised if the 19% have a good working knowledge of the implications of the issues of men with penises accessing women and girls' safe spaces.

I used to work with a gay man who used to insist that we all refer to transwomen as 'she / her' because 'they really are women'. No, they aren't and no man is going to insist that I go along with the lie that humans can change sex or that women must comply with instructions from men, to use a pronoun that is also a lie.

Electron1 · 18/11/2018 19:25

Ok here is my letter to my MP feel free to copy and paste or adjust accordingly.

It was a pleasure to meet you recently. Thank you for you time listening to my explanation of why we need to think carefully about the impact of agreeing men can be women legally on the basis of their own preferences in all circumstances.

A debate on Proposals to allow self-identification of gender is scheduled for Wednesday 21 November 2018 at 9.30am. The Member leading the debate is David T C Davies MP.

Westminster Hall, Wednesday 21
November 2018, 9.30

As I mentioned at our meeting, during the recent GRA consultation "Women Ask Questions" commissioned privately crowd-funded research into gender identification with @PopulusPolls

In summary the overall responses are:
19% of people consider a person who was born male and has male genitalia but identifies as a woman to be a woman.
52% would consider this person to be a man.
20% don’t know, 7% consider this person to neither be a woman or a man and 3% prefer not to say.

The download link below is safe and I've attached a pdf of the file.

It goes on to ask about sports and prisons, as you will see support for males being given access to women prisoners and to ruin women's sports get lower as the questions become more specific. Interestingly men agree less that men are women for the purposes of sport. Clearly the opinion of men on whether male bodied people are women changes when fair play in sport, a subject which is important to them, comes in question, rather than simply the dignity and privacy of girls and women in changing and dressing rooms and other facilities.

fairplayforwomen.com/prison-data-confirmed/ This link will take you to research conducted on the impact to women in prisons when you give male sex offenders a human rights entitlement to access them when they are locked up.

I would also ask you to consider the position Labour will take on hospital same sex wards. We are in the position where the NHS now has to include any male who wants a space in a female ward, and the females in there are given absolutely no consideration, their consent to this invasion of their privacy and safety which same sex wards were intended for is set aside, and is now described as bigotry.

If you wish to understand more about the male sexual rights movement behind the change in policy happening in advance of any legislation for self identification of gender please listen to Professor Shelia Jeffreys explaining the movement behind it in this video. She has written for decades on this male activism.

Thanks again, I hope you will read and listen in the spirit this is intended. I'm rather fed up of women being assumed to be bigoted dinosaurs for focusing on the sex protection and safeguarding of women and children which we have in place and are discarding thoughtlessly, and shocked that the Labour Party seem to be setting aside any rational consideration of reality and sanctioning autogynaephillia as a definition of female and woman for all purposes.

Kind regards
