No, not the regular MN poster by that name but the Ben Elton comedy about Shakespeare.

Almost caught up at last but in the episode ‘The Most Unkindest Cut of All’ a hermaphrodite auditions for the part of the ‘totty’ (women being banned from the stage at the time) in Julius Caesar.

Couldn’t help laughing at the line ‘Tis a very gift to the theatre, for what possible type of person could be better to play a girl than a boy with boobingtons ...?’

The episode slightly sidesteps the trans issue by making the character hermaphrodite and casting a woman in the part but I wonder if the episode title was chosen deliberately?
