Who has peak-transed the most people?

I don't often post.

I was peak-transed, not by the actions of any one individual, or a group of them, but rather through political realisation with some of my peers, that the trans agenda - which includes not just transgenderism but also transracialism and transabelism - is nothing more than an extension of White Colonialism on a grand scale, enabling (notably) white heterosexual middle-class Western male culture to impose itself into parts of society otherwise denied access to them, including into the lives of girls (for F2M transitioning) BAME (through transracialism) and lesbian structures, and/or female spaces through transgenderism. Therefore any advocate for the trans-agenda is first-and-foremost in my eyes, an advocate or apologist for racist white imperialism. And that's before we get onto the trans-agenda's inherent misogyny and homophobia!

I do though recognise that a number of individuals have been personally responsible for 'peak-transing' more than their fair share of skeptics.

Who though has managed, involuntarily, to achieve that feat?

The list below isn't authoritative, or in any particular order, so if taking part, please feel free to add any candidates. Perhaps in-the-future a proper statistical study will be performed, and the lucky individual will win a prize, though it's unlikely they'll want to attend the award ceremony!

It was Jazz Jennings for me. I think what has been done to that child is nothing short of abuse. And it opened up the whole transing kids rabbit hole to me. Pushing children, who have no idea what they are giving up, down a path towards sterility and little to no adult sexual function. All in the name of "passing". It is abhorrent.

Tellin · 17/11/2018 06:35

It was seeing a trailer for Caitlyn Jenner's tv show featuring CJ sat at their lighted mirror proclaiming the hardest thing about being a woman was 'deciding what to wear in the morning' or something equally vacuous, can't quite remember.

All I could think was, well, you clearly have zero functioning concept of womanhood. This is all a dress up game to you. I'm sure others will be quick to proclaim tv editing, only joking etc but hey, those were the words they chose.

deepwatersolo · 17/11/2018 06:52

Julia Serrano, with her absurd denial that detransition is a thing, blatantly ignoring detransitioners on YouTube that called her out on it. Then I realized that they are not interested in a honest conversation as I had thought. Then I discovered the total disregard of science throughout the culture (but my lived experience trumps this scientific study. Oh, but those detransitioners‘ lived experiences count for nothing...), I discovered Dreger and Anne Lawrence‘s take on the issue, and the rest is history.

Serfisafleur · 17/11/2018 07:46

I think Posie Parker has done a great job of peak transing people who come across her campaign, or rather the reactions to her campaign.
It's "underground" unfortunately, as in not much talked about in the mainstream, but anyone who finds out that the words
"Woman = adult human female" is now considered hate speech immediately starts to think "WTF" and "WTAF".

For me it was an old work colleague. I knew we shared broadly the same view on politics, and saw she had posted a few things about the Labour Party. I was pointed in this direction, and also fell down the rabbit hole. So really my first peak was the Labour Party, then LM. And the massivist peak of all was Rapey Riley. Honestly, I was in equal measures fuming and scared. Hence my MN name!

Some people will try and tell me that Riley is very niche and not many people will take notice. Then my granddaughter said she knew them from youtube, and a woman at work said her kids watched them on youtube. So, never write Riley off, they do have influence.

Oh and the middle aged male C4 executive who says he feels like a teenage girl.

oooompa · 17/11/2018 08:59

Girl Guides is what first drew my attention to self ID and the GRA consultation. Joss Prior peak-transed me.

Melanippe · 17/11/2018 09:08

To be completely fair, one peaks, then peaks again, and then once more with the continued barrage of batishittery. Just when you think things can't possibly get any worse, another peak comes along.

Victoria Derbyshire.
Her interview with trans child, aged about seven.
Disappointing.

Ruth and Eamon.

Clearly didn't do biology at school

SongforSal · 18/11/2018 07:42

I should add, the NHS website. I recently had a scare, and was doing as much reading as possible. The NHS website also recommended men with uterus need screening to. So. A woman dressed as a man then. Obviously if you have a vagina you need a smear. To read about what I was going through, and seeing this as a man problem made me furious.

silentcrow · 18/11/2018 08:29

Posthumous award for Lili Elbe and their doctor via Comic Relief, I guess. That's attracted a fair bit of attention.

It was the cancer charity for me. I do wonder if there's some social media company being employed to tweet for various groups/companies rather than someone in-house - we're seeing the same wokery over and over and we keep assuming it's young interns gone astray.

papayasareyum · 18/11/2018 08:53

a super woke, super lefty friend who, despite having a doctorate and being extremely intelligent, just blindly denied science, logic and all rationality when discussing trans ideology. She has her head right down in the sand. She’s looking at the emperor and telling him he’s gorgeous, knowing full well he’s naked. She’s more determined to be woke and inclusive than to think critically and logically.

papayasareyum · 18/11/2018 08:55

Oh and Caitlin Jenner, Meg John Barker, Edward Lord, Susie Green, India Willoughby. They all helped to peak trans me too.

LukewarmCustard · 18/11/2018 08:57

Goldsmiths University and their gulag tweets

Politelygiveszerofucks · 18/11/2018 09:14

I was stunned when a bunch of school parents started talking about Karen White completely out of the blue. So I would plump for them and Caitlyn Jenner.

Barracker · 18/11/2018 11:27

I don't know if I Peak Transed so much as finally admitted I'd always been on the top of the mountain.

But it was the posters here, on Mumsnet FWR that gave me the confidence to admit to myself what I already knew, that reassured me that knowing facts to be true couldn't be hateful and didn't mean I'd taken a wrong turn.

Many of those posters aren't around now, this goes back years. But their courage, patience, intelligence and sense allowed me to acknowledge my own thoughts. I owe a great deal to Dittany and Beachcomber.
I found blogs like thenewbacklash, and gendertrender, and purplesagefem and realised it all made such sense.

And now gendertrender has been destroyed, likely by a paedophile misusing the law to protect himself whilst he attacks women who oppose him.

That's why I still post here. Sort of a legacy. Women helping women say what they want to say without getting punished for the truth.

RetiredNotExpired · 18/11/2018 12:51

@fidgetspinner555

Thanks for posting that: I hadn't seen it before. Excellent!
I wish Alex Drummond had been included - that was the video that peaktransed me. I'd not been aware of how bad things were before then, have had a lot of catching up to do. Simpering condescension and the declaration that he was "widening the bandwidth of what it means to be a woman". Christ, I get so angry even thinking about it.

Winterlight · 18/11/2018 15:25

Tara Wolf.

Their actions and the response from the TRA community brought home that they had no interest in entering into considered and respectful debate with women, they just sought complete capitulation.
