No one should turn a blind eye to the harm (actual physical and mental) that is being done to girls and women due to the modern trans narrative just because it’s upsetting to an individual.

I imagine my friends sons feel pretty shit when people talk about rapists and predators who are male like them, but they don’t demand femisnists shut up about women’s rights because their boys are decent people.

My partner was questioned by the police years ago because a rapist ran away and escaped via his back garden. Luckily he didn’t resemble the actual guy so it was all pretty straight forward. But y’know, how DARE the police hurt his feelings just because he also happened to be a man. As he has never said.

Thanks for sharing TimeLady I cannot understand how people can say that self-identification of your race or, in the case of Emile Ratelband, your age is different to self-identification of your sex. Janice sums it up perfectly.

Can I suggest that one rebuttal to the attempts at derailment via emotional manipulation per thread is enough? Rewarding bad behavior with attention tends to encourage it to continue (as Bunbury outlined in her classic tome "Manipulative people and how to avoid them").

It's funny, in that piece I saw just a glimmer of why people are attracted to the idea of making up stuff as you go along as opposed to having a better grasp of reality and one's place in it.

If you are denied a mortgage because it is presumed you'll die/become unable to earn before you can pay it back - it would be quite a blow if you strongly believed you had loads more energy to give, life to live and were determined to bop until you drop.

I agree with the Dutch guy on one thing, which is that some people in their late 60s are more than able to keep working, and should therefore be able to if they want to. Much like with trans people, though, society should be able to figure out a way to make that possible without pretending that they're actually a different age/sex. It's the being forced to lie that most people object to, along with the raging sense of entitlement displayed by some individuals.

As I said apropos of trans race on another thread, the first men I saw speaking strongly against self ID and in favour of GC feminism were African American - precisely because Jenner hit the headlines at the same time as Dolzeal, so that the black community immediately connected the dots and saw the whole thing for the appalling act of appropriation it was.
