This is anal 101, for teens, beginners, and all inquisitive folk.

Fucking hell, anal sex for teens? When I was a teen bum sex was something only gay men did. I’m in a state of perpetual shock at just how porn soaked our society is and how horrible it must be for girls and young women.

I imagine it's because mums on here had quite a lot to say about anal sex, little of it positive. And maybe the two editors of teen vogue took it personally as commentary on their sex life and extended it to homophobia.

As far as I remember, though, certainly initially, no one knew who the editors were, much less that they were a gay couple.

It made them look like overreacting teenagers.

Just got to anita green's comments and interested where you grew up.

I am in my early 40s and at 14 there were only maybe 4 girls in my class who were not virgins (aside from the ones who statistically must have been sexually abused that we didn't know about) and I can tell you that they were not doing anal on the regular and "loving it".

Idea that it's standard for 14yo girls to be having anal sex with men is really worrying especilly coming from another women. It's something that is quite (and always used to be seen as) an "advanced" sex act >> quite a bit of effort, need to know what you're doing, can be painful if done wrong, lots of people don't want or like it.

IF many/most 14yo girls are having anal on the regular in your town it implies that they are becoming sexually active younger than that and / or being groomed TBH.

I find it odd that you see this as something to celebrate / normalise.

Christ 14 is so young isn't it, and girls are so easy to manipulate which is why so many men target them.

"Agreed, if 75% of girls don't want anal, then 75% of the articles should be "how to say no to your boyfriend" rather than "you'll probably love it really"."

This. Girls need to be given more tools to say no, go away, leave me alone, boys and men don't leave you alone at this age, between men staring / commenting / following etc etc and asking for sex acts and any boyfriends just pushing and pushing for more and more so they can tick their personal sex bucketlist it's just relentless.

We need articles telling men and boys to back off not ones telling us it's "delightful" when men fuck you up the arse and failing to even bother mentioning the clitoris or even bloody putting it on the diagram.

I was sick of this shit when I was a girl and now I'm sick of this shit on behalf of the younger generation.

"It might be distasteful but young people do do it and I'd rather they knew how to do it safely."

Comment at the end of this article said :

"This article has been updated to include the importance of using protection during anal sex."

Right so this article in its original form did not include that information, and safe to say the intent of the original article was NOT around how to have anal safely if you fancy trying it.

What is this "distasteful" thing about.

Fucking young girls up the arse is illegal.Lots of men have recently gone to prison for sexual exploitation of girls in case you hadn't noticed. And certainly loads of non-arrested non-prosecuted non-noticed relationships between girls 13 -16 say and older boys and men where there is pressure for the girls to perform the acts that he wants to try/ tick off or that he wants are common. They always were. Nowadays though the prevalance of what used to be considered hardcore porn has given the men and boys a much much longer bucket list to coerce younger girls into trying.

This is nothing to do with distatse, the women posting on here have lived lives, and you have no idea what our teenage years and relationships have involved.

Exactly. Anal sex isn't a new invention, for goodness sake. It's always been around. It's just that most women get nothing out of it except pain. Or discomfort.

But, before the advent of wall-to-wall Internet porn, the suggestion of anal sex would frequently be met with, eeww, no thanks.

Now you are called a prudish, sex shaming pearl clutcher.

Except nothing has changed. Other than certain men's porn driven sense of entitlement.
