Sevenhex kicked off Twitter?

howonearthdidwegethere · 07/11/2018 17:23

I'm reading that SevenHex has been kicked off Twitter. Does anyone know them IRL?

SH is a transsexual who is opposed to self-ID and posts really thoughtful stuff which I always enjoy reading.

Honestly, this is so pathetic. I've seen no nastiness from that account. Far worse stuff is tweeted by TRA accounts.

Sad
OP posts:
MsMcWoodle · 07/11/2018 17:35

Where did you see that? I hope not!

angelwithalariat · 07/11/2018 17:37

I hope not too - always enjoy her tweets.

Hulo · 07/11/2018 17:42

And me. Her threads were always well-reasoned and thoughtful but she is the 'wrong sort of trans' so the TRAs would go after her

SunsetBeetch · 07/11/2018 17:50

It'll be mass reporting by TRAs as usual. Twitter really needs to get a handle on this abuse of its report system.

Seven has beem suspended rather than banned. Should hopefully be back soon.

silentcrow · 07/11/2018 17:55

Very sad to see this, Seven writes thoughtfully and was quite a highlight of Twitter for me. But yes, the "wrong kind of trans" voices seem to be either leaving due to abuse (I believe Strawc8ke quit recently, also a loss), or being shut down by malicious reporting.

LangCleg · 07/11/2018 17:58

Seven wrote a thread about leaving Twitter shortly before the account going. But the Twitter message I'm getting says suspended rather than deactivated, so I don't know what happened.

StarsAndWater · 07/11/2018 18:06

Oh that'd be a real shame if it is a suspension. I've always appreciated Seven's tweets.

Coyoacan · 07/11/2018 18:16

I'd only just discovered seven hex and love their posts.

I believe Lisa Muggeridge has also been banned. It seems to be a much better way of winning an argument than actually being to defend a point of view.

DanaBarrett · 07/11/2018 18:24

SH is reasonably local to me, and spoke from the floor at A Woman’s Place meeting I attended. I’ll miss SH if it’s true 😓

welshbookworm · 07/11/2018 18:26

Oh, I do hope not. I discovered her on Twitter soon after reaching peaktrans and starting to research what was going on. Kind, intelligent and thoughtful tweets, so unlike the bile and intolerance from the TRAs.

R0wantrees · 07/11/2018 18:28

O no.

SevenHex has posted some really important threads recently.
She was really focussed on possibilities.

I hope they've been saved somewhere.

WhereYouLeftIt · 07/11/2018 19:11

Yes, Seven wrote really thoughtful threads that I'd read and ponder awhile. So yes, wrong kind of transwoman as far as the activists are concerned. I hope they come back.

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 07/11/2018 20:03

Suspended for being transphobic were they? Confused

StuntNun · 07/11/2018 20:10

Apparently it was for swearing.

R0wantrees · 07/11/2018 20:13
Shock
MsJeminaPuddleduck · 07/11/2018 20:28

Apparently it was this (from @Othellybelly) 'Seven put a coercive TRA in their place; giving a young vulnerable trans girl a hard time. It got a bit sweary'

Silentcrow - you mentioned @strawc8ke - is she ok do you know? I followed her and, like many people, was worried by her recent messages. I know people were asking after her but then it went quiet. Thanks

FoldyRoll · 07/11/2018 20:29

How could Twitter possibly justify banning someone for swearing, FFS?

Seven's posts are always considered and thoughtful. Transsexuals like her are in a dreadful position politically right now. They're on the precipice of a huge backlash through no fault of their own, and she's working really hard to propose solutions which protect women, which is enough for the toddler tantrumming TRA's to target her.

I met her at the Newcastle WPUK meeting and she came across as she does online; calm and thoughtful but with a fire in her belly.

welshbookworm · 07/11/2018 22:35

Suspended for swearing??? For heaven's sake, when I think of some of the utterly vile posts which are left in place, despite being reported multiple times, I do wonder at Twitter's algorithms and monitoring decisions. Hopefully it's just a temporary 'punishment' suspension.

KOBr · 07/11/2018 22:40

I thought it might be from one of her last tweets where she was devising a coalition of common sense to get like minded people together to fight against the ideology.

I suspect that may of set a few TRA alarms off so they flocked to shut the debate down.

silentcrow · 07/11/2018 22:43

Jemima, no, I just filled Strawc8ke same as you and was also worried at the sudden silence. I'm sure I saw somewhere that contact had been made, though.

MrsWooster · 07/11/2018 22:45

I thought the same, Kob
The last thing the TRAs want is reasoned rational voices proposing ways to ensure women's AND trans' rights; where's the validation and joy in erasure in that?

TallulahWaitingInTheRain · 07/11/2018 22:55

Transsexuals and feminists making common cause is a massive threat to the credibility of genderist ideology

FoldyRoll · 08/11/2018 00:31

That's such a relief that Strawc8ke has made contact. She sounded so very down before her account went pop.

dianjo · 18/02/2019 12:00

In case there's anyone wanting to make contact with Seven Hex - she's set up a blog sevenhex.com/

Also there's a crowdfunder to support her work establishing a Transsexual Advocacy Group - promoting Trans rights AND Women's rights.
www.crowdfunder.co.uk/let-s?utm_source=sevenhex.com&utm_medium=widget&utm_content=click&utm_campaign=Getting+to+the+next+step

and she's on facebook - as seven hex
