YouGov survey on "Butterfly"

Some questions were:

Did you like it?
Why?
How interested are you in learning about the issues that transgender people face?
Did you like actors/ cast / storyline / locations
Which characters would you like to see more of?
What did you think of Vicki?
How interested were you in various storylines?
Which storylines would you like to see more of?

Looks like they are thinking about a second series?

Link?

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 03/11/2018 14:21

I can't link - it's not been published yet, they are just doing the survey now.

How was the survey carried out? Who did they ask? Who commissioned it?

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 03/11/2018 14:25

Thing is you have to have watched it to answer those questions

Hardly anyone did

It is a YouGov poll, sent out to a representative group of people who are signed up with YouGov. I don't know who commissioned it or when the results will be published, Im just someone who was polled.

The answers are presumably going to have to come from the self-selected group of people who thought it might be worth watching in the first place.

BeyondVicious · 03/11/2018 14:59

Argh I just went through my three available polls ready to screenshot, and it wasn't in any of them :(

Yes. Although I'm not sure how the poll was constructed. It also showed the trailer for the series just ended, so I guess you may have got a separate set of questions along the lines of "would you be interested in this"?

I only posted because I thought it was interesting that someone was paying for in-depth research. I've only ever had one about a specific TV show before.

I didn't get it either.

LangCleg · 03/11/2018 15:17

They will just send it out to a larger number of people. Then those who didn't watch it will be screened out on the first couple of screens. It won't be did you/did you not approve of it so much as if you watched it, what did/didn't you like about it.

Sounds, as OP says, more of market research into a second series instead of political approval/disapproval of the show itself.
