Publish and be damned!!!

Just accept you are awful?
Avegemitesandwich · 03/11/2018 12:00

God these people are tedious.

hipsterfun · 03/11/2018 12:16

I self-identify as ‘not awful’. So there.

Didactylos · 03/11/2018 12:43

so basically a rather longwinded
' I reject your reality, and substitute my own'

FloralBunting · 03/11/2018 12:46

It's not even my reality. Reality doesn't belong to me anymore than it belongs to fruitloops like this. It just is and all the aggressive posturing in the world won't change that. It is shaking a fist at the falling rain getting you wet.

terryleather, you are a very bad person. Grin

terryleather · 03/11/2018 12:55

I know Floral (but do you like me?)

FloralBunting · 03/11/2018 12:58

Oh I do!

terryleather · 03/11/2018 13:01

terryleather · 03/11/2018 13:02

Where are the grins???
That was supposed to be three grins and I made a portal instead...

FloralBunting · 03/11/2018 13:03

Does this mean that Dick Emery is the guardian of the FWR radicalisation portal?Shock So wasn't expecting that.

Freespeecher · 03/11/2018 13:06

Top Tip

If you've been sent to the Gulag after pissing off Trans Kommissar Nikolai, make sure to befriend the canteen staff so they ladle your portion of soup from the bottom of the tureen rather than the top. Might buy you a few more months.

(taps nose)

Is DID Dissociative identity disorder?

And is that post really saying that they object to people identifying as having DID when they don't have it?

Ok that's a parody account. Dick Emery lives! Needs to be funnier though, i'd suggest a writer's workshop.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 03/11/2018 13:09

There are the people who have suffered usually horrific, life threatening abuse and been diagnosed with DID as a dissociative way of surviving it. And there are the people to whom DID (and other disabilities) is a self identified, romantic identity to try on, plus a useful excuse to prevent others holding them accountable for poor behaviour.

There's a lot of it about.

terryleather · 03/11/2018 13:09

Floral I think it'd be kinda appropriate if he was...!

Juells · 03/11/2018 13:11

The sense of entitlement is demented.

UpstartCrow · 03/11/2018 13:13

''We are allowed to be uncomfortable around or upset by cis people, we are allowed to generalise the same as lgb+ with straight people, POC with white people, disabled people with abled people because the majority still are dangerous and damaging to us.''

Those rights also extend to women.
#aprilfool not really.

selfidentifyinggiraffe · 03/11/2018 13:14

On the subject of DID... I think it's accepted that the alters are all part of the personality of the physical body

The brain uses different personality to cope with different things - protective... so an adult might need a "child" personality to seek nurturing

Or a different sex personality might have found a situation easier to cope with

But I've never heard or someone using DID to prove people are born in bodies that don't match... DID isn't something you're born with, it's a response to TRAUMA!!!! And only proves the brain copes with stress by picking out a personality who can best cope with a situation

To me that kinda proves rather than disproves the idea that forcing kids to be gender conforming might push them into thinking they are Trans

Chosennonetosurvivethenight · 03/11/2018 13:18

What about his demands further down that people stop using cisnormative language!? Can we just say we're using normal language!?

Doobigetta · 03/11/2018 13:32

Hmm. Do the DID references not suggest that that person has pretty serious mental health issues? Cos if so, not really that surprising if they’re posting batshittery.

Rorshach · 03/11/2018 16:57

@Doobigetta that could well be the case but the poster seems remarkably concise with insight which would be quite unusual from what I've found out today

(I was kinda disappointed this thread wasn't someone plopping here to tell us all why we are awful, we haven't had one for a few days!)

Me too 😁

LangCleg · 03/11/2018 18:12

I haven't looked at it all day because I assumed that's what it was!

13thWarriorWitch · 03/11/2018 18:12

I fully accept that I am awful. Just not for the reasons set out by this numpty.

Grin

littlecabbage · 03/11/2018 18:13

In the words of the immortal Patrick Swayze in Ghost:

"What a crock of shit!"

Cwenthryth · 03/11/2018 18:45

The whole “You never argue that you haven’t said something transphobic because you don’t get to make that call if you aren’t trans yourself” simply doesn’t work with the Stonewall trans umbrella, under which most of us are apparently trans as we don’t identify with the gender (sex stereotypes) that ‘matches’ our sex.
