Domestic violence and terrorism

Something we've been saying on here for ages - DV is a predictor of nutters going off the rails and going on to commit terrorist attrocities, DV against women is a form of terrorism and shares some of the same features (male pattern violence, propensity to hate and dehumanise people you perceive as "other").

This is so important. If people start properly looking at this as a spectrum of (overwhelmingly) male-pattern abusive behaviour, then we might get somewhere.
I think Laura Richards of Paladin has also noted the link between domestic violence and terrorism.

I completely get where you're coming from, but we need to stop dismissing these men as nutters. They aren't mad, they're bad, but they're deliberate in their badness.
