Just seen this on twitter

JJ Charlesworth is a senior art critic. Clearly this shout out is about free speech in general but it is undoubtedly inspired by the artist Nina Edge & recent shocking events.

It would be great to see this issue in print. If you are on twitter please share or if you're an artist perhaps you'll know someone effected?

Hopefully this will get traction

BettyDuMonde · 30/10/2018 13:17

I think we can be clear as to JJ’s opinions on the matter!

(Charlesworth graduated from the same degree as I did, albeit a few years before me. Thank fuck there are Goldsmiths Alumni who are speaking out - I was starting to think about taking it off my CV!)

It's funny...I saw a tweet from him recently I think where he was told off by a TRA and he retracted pretty quickly. Can't remember who or what but within the last fortnight. It looks as though his thoughts have evolved pretty quickly on this. This is what a TRA telling off will do for you Grin. Good for him.

The people who should really be ashamed of themselves are the employers etc who are giving these TRA power by caving in to their totally unreasonable demands. Where is their backbone? These students (and others) are being enabled here. Why are they endlessly giving them power? Why?

Times Education editor tweeted:

Very pleased to hear LJMU has given its full support to edge_nina, art lecturer hounded by trans activists who claimed she had been sacked for her "transphobic" views. Classes continue this week as normal

So she's not sacked?

LizzieSiddal · 30/10/2018 17:02

That’s fab news about Nina.

I think it was the “students” who declared they had got Nina sacked. Maybe it was wishful thinking

Wankers!
