Statistics of trans children

Are there any reliable statistics of numbers of children in the UK being considered transgender and put on the path to gender reassignment? I know its going up exponentially for years and wondering when it will be too many to be considered a disorder affecting a 'small number' of kids requiring such drastic action as puberty blocking, binding etc.

There are these figures for each year from 2009 to 2017

And these for 2017-2018

OK thanks so about 2500 referrals albeit they include other home nations and 18+ rejected, compared to around 3400 secondaries in England. Variables of course include who is actually diagnosed, previous years and the vast majority being 16, but I reckon on average there is 1 per school or more.
