Following on from the thread about the Stonewall Metro ad (and a few other threads that touched on the responses to this), I was wondering if we could get a summary of companies/organisations that have been contacted about this, and how they responded?
I really wanted to write to several of them to ask a) were they fully aware of what they were supporting by being listed in the ad (i.e. that it was linking directly to Stonewall's pro-self-ID consultation responses, not just giving the fluffy supportive messages in the ad itself, which most people would have no issue with), and b) if they were NOT aware of this, whether they would be saying so publicly?
Due to life getting in the way I didn't get a chance yet though, but I know some other people had, and there had been some reports of a number of the companies saying they had NOT been fully on board with this - but I don't know the details. Would like to find out which ones may still be worth writing to now, or which (if any) I might want to stop using! So would it be OK to ask for any responses you've received/heard about/failed to get a response to be posted here to get them all in one place? Or if there's already a summary somewhere else, please could you point me to that instead? Thanks!
