Cases where self Id has been abused.

I read so many pro self Id people claiming that it works without problem in other countries but I'm not 100% sure. Obviously in the UK we have Karen white and jacinta Brooks but are we allowed a thread with links where self Id has been problematic in countries where it has been introduced. mexiconewsdaily.com/news/oaxaca-candidates-arent-transgender-after-all/ is one case I've read. I believe there was a case in Norway 're changing rooms and I will have a Google for it. Anybody else read about other issues?

There have been quite a few cases in the US where the headlines reads 'woman arrested for rape' but then you see the photo and it's quite clearly a man. #itneverhappens

There are numerous sport examples too.

Tbh, I'm not sure that anyone cares about the abuses of women and children as long as a transperson is involved. Except for those of us who are gender critical, of course.

I really fear for the future of humanity. Psychologists are very clear what happens to any society which does not protect it's children.

This is what the proponents of self-ID never admit, and what we must always push them to admit. That they are happy to accept that some women and girls (a small number they hope, but at least some) will be collateral damage in order to give biological males access to our spaces.

I can't tell if that Danish case is just trying to make a point on the ludicrousy of self I'd or if they are serious 🤔

It often turns into a No true Scotsman argument

Apparently in Ireland if you are a prisoner you still get sent to the prison of your birth sex rather than your desired gender. If you want to change gender that's something you have to wait until you have finished your punishment and then you can do it once you are free. No idea why that's OK there but not here...

And in Japan, apparently a transwoman can go to a female prison but they have to have all their tackle removed first - so not so good for the individuals who are hoping to change for long enough to get an easy ride through prison and then change back - it's drastic enough to hopefully sort out those who are seriously gender dysphoric and those who are trying to abuse the system you'd have thought...

I've read these in articles that I've read, having linked to them from this section but I can't remember what they are now. HOpefully someone else will!

Correct - hence all the 'it's illegal to rape someone' (no shit, Sherlock), 'if someone does that you must call the police' (never crossed my mind till you mentioned it) type responses you see and hear from TRAs.

I mentioned yesterday that I'd seen some youngish women saying of sport that they didn't care because they thought the 'human rights' of people who were trans were more important. In other words, they were quite happy to throw girls and women's rights out of the window in order to centre men.

If I'd been able to respond, I'd have told them that women all over the world thanked them for erasing their rights, especially women in 3rd world countries for whom sport actually offered a bit of a way out.
