“LGBT advocate” has Leeds billboard removed

In the latest anti-woman action by GBT activists the Standing for Women billboard has been removed by Kong Outdoor media. The tweets confirming it are attached.

This is how much this country hates women, and how they validate men’s feelings and views over our reality. We can’t even name ourselves.

I assumed the whole point of the billboards is that people will get them removed.

'Women put up dictionary definition and no one cares' isn't very interesting after all.

I'd like to think it is more indicative of how much businesses have failed to develop a robust social media policy. I am taken aback by how few complaints it seems to take to have these things removed relative to billboards that have been the subject of complaint in the past.

I agree arranfan . I'm sure there was a lot of complaint about the infamous Wonderbra advert "Hello Boys" but I don't remember those being taken down after just a few hours ?

But then again we're only silly little women with no voice, so who would have listened or cared?

I have emailed Kong Media twice urging them to reconsider.

I know there's no chance of them reconsidering my emails were informative and hopefully whoever reads them will peak.
Think about it though, over 5,000 people voted and some, maybe many of these people would have no previous knowledge of posie's campaign on even the whole silencing problem. So it was probably the best poster so far.

I haven't heard any publicity about the Waitrose one I just hope our Posie is getting refunds.

what is there to investigate? This is ridiculous but not surprising. However TRAs doing shit like this is what gets Posie more publicity. If they left the billboards alone, there would barely be any news about them. Foot shot again.

According to KongOutdoor's web-site their clients include Greggs, East Midlands Trains and Newcastle Council.

Good idea. I wonder how many transwomen would still be keen to transition if it meant taking on the role of a wife in an arranged marriage in rural India or China?

Although I suppose they'd still have the advantage of size and strength, making the new mother in law less likely to beat them for not doing things the way she expected, and their husbands less likely to overpower them whenever they fancied a shag. Still, doing all the cooking, cleaning, child care, care of elderly relatives, helping out on the land and being threatened with being set on fire if her family don't cough up the full dowry might persuade one or two that transwomen really aren't the most oppressed group that ever lived.

I've just emailed KongOutdoors, asking them why they removed the poster, with a brief explanation of what's behind it. I said it was a topic that MPs, journalists, broadcasters etc were now admitting they were too intimidated to engage in. I added that they'd played right into the hands of men demanding recognition of themselves as biological women.

I am very angry that they have responded to a tweet which uses the misogynist hate word 'terf'.

Its interesting that this was removed the day after there was a poll that said the huge majority of people thought it should stay.
