Will someone please explain this to me? I went to use the restroom at a local restaurant today. I followed the arrow down a hallway. There were 2 doors with printed signs on them, One says "MEN". The other says "EVERYONE".
Tell me why I'm furious 3 hours later.
Just so tired

We need a thread to post just to post all the vile shit from TRAs it would fill up quickly too

I agree with naming and shaming, especially in reviews. I'd also make a point of asking the staff where the ladies was and when they say it's the 'Everyone', explain loudly and publicly how unsafe and sexist that is and ask them to explain their policy. I would do this very loudly in the hearing of all customers in the place. Then I would go and slate them on every form of social media and review site.

I was at Channel 4 for work the other day. The loos there say 4 everyone and I did think ‘oh no’ at first. But actually they are very well designed with large cubicles each with floor to ceiling doors and a sink/hand dryer/ sanitary bin inside. (I did have to put the loo seat down though!) I have no objection whatsoever to using unisex loos like that.

BreconBeBuggered · 21/10/2018 21:05

I bet the men's toilet wasn't just urinals. It's the cheapo nonthinking approach to inclusivity:change the sign. I'd be off to wee in the gents if everyone else was forming a long queue, and nobody better dare try misgendering me with their objections. These tits are man tits.

Good for you RitaFairclough. Just one problem, what about women and girls who don't want /can't cope with that? Or religious groups of women who aren't allowed?

Budgieinaberet · 21/10/2018 21:25

I took my granddaughter to the toilets in the theatre.
The had male, female and gender neutral.
GD asked why we didn't go in there.
As she asked a woman with 2 daughters came storming out and went straight into the ladies.
I said to GD
Because men pee on the seat

“A local restaurant” with no name.

The OP doesn’t return to the thread.

RitaFairclough · 21/10/2018 21:43

Paffuto, I can’t see why anyone wouldn’t be able to cope with the unisex loos like the ones at C4. The only contact you would have with the opposite sex would be in a queue. (If there was one and I was at a fairly large event and didn’t queue so there are clearly enough cubicles). And the cubicles all open on to a corridor.

OK update (I'm not on here every day). I went to review them on YELP and someone already had commented on it. So I added to that discussion. I posted on Facebook and it brought up a lively discussion with some friends who hadn't thought too hard about it..yet. So that was good. Also, I live in a small city in the US, so naming and shaming could hurt my livelihood. Thanks for the support. I feel a bit less crazy now.

Well I've been to at least 2 restaurants which are 2 'everybody' toilets, both single occupancy. Would you avoid using them?
