Has anyone read the article this week on the Trans programme with Anna Friel (Channel4 I think).
It includes an interview with the actor and gives the phone number for Mermaids.
I really want to write and express my concerns but would never stop buying it as I think it’s a great organisation and it would be unfair on the vendors.

Yes good interview and always worth the money.

The Big Issue is normally really well written and worth every penny, just the advice to ring Mermaids for advice concerned me.

You’re right to be concerned. Write to them and include why Mermaids isn’t a good source to use.

Yes. Susie Green. Not the founder, but she took over after her child transitioned and changed it from a support group for a tiny number of dysphoric children to a pressure group.

They are also STILL directing people to Dr Helen Webberly and her unregistered, unlicenced, illegal, unethical online clinic.

There’s several things to mention other than the craziness of the head of it. Yes they still link to dr Webberley who was recently successfully prosecuted. In addition they were told to stop contact with a family/child by a judge. The details of all this are in other threads if you do a search.
