Love how the options are "yes absolutely" and "no". No is currently winning hand down. Probably only till the Twitter brigade notice mind you.
I also thought just how diluted the term transphobia has become. Two years ago I'd have interpreted the story as poster is associated with a campaign of yelling abuse at transgender people and spitting at them in the street and been duly horrified. Now I just think "oh someone acknowledged the existence of biology again".

Yet another man telling women what their money should be spent on.

Well, my donations to the various women's groups doing this and speaking up ARE absolutely 'supporting those resources they're campaigning for'.
Those resources are going to be diminished and stretched to breaking point if the TRAs have their way.
It's like donating to a campaign raising awareness against austerity and being told you're a hypocrite for not giving it to the local foodbank (when you're already doing that too)

PyeWackets · 20/10/2018 11:40

Have you read the comments under the poll?

"Proving it is easy, I just need to take screenshots from Mumsnet where they organise their assaults."

This is a poster who claims we organise assaults on trans people. Hyperbole much? They are liars and fantasists, just like all the other abusive males I've ever known.

paffuto · 20/10/2018 11:44

This handful of small minded people are spending huge amounts of money that would be better spent supporting the resources that they're claiming to be campaigning for. ???? We've already got them, thanks. We're now campaigning to state the bloody obvious; on billboards and stickers .!!

Carriemac · 20/10/2018 12:05

I can’t get the voting to work on my tablet?

YetAnotherSpartacus · 20/10/2018 12:12

Another no vote here!

Barracker · 20/10/2018 12:36

TRAs are now desperately gaming the poll, trying to drag it back from the 93% who believe we shouldn't censor the dictionary definition of woman.

Keep duplicate voting boys. It must sting a bit though that it's taking you a hundred votes per person to outweigh reality. And the poll still stands 80% opposed to censorship.

Still, nice for those 'private browser windows' to get a break from anime porn, I suppose.

LostLurker · 20/10/2018 13:19

Name changer here. Finally delurking.

LostLurker · 20/10/2018 13:28

Sorry, just wanted to check the name change went through.

Has anyone seen the threats in the comments under that linked article? I was about to point to threats made by trans activists, but I’m wondering what they are supposed to be. Are they supposed to be from feminists threatening TRAs? I’m confused, but I certainly don’t accept these are feminists who are using threats.

Please don’t pile on accusing me of being goody. I’m most definitely in the GC camp!

LostLurker · 20/10/2018 13:28

Goady - obviously!

Now100 · 20/10/2018 13:34

I only saw one threat from a "drradfem", I clicked report on it. It wasn't at all clear who it was aimed at.

X post with Now.

Now100 · 20/10/2018 13:38

I see the Katrina hasn't given the evidence of assaults being organised via mumsnet. Because there aren't any.

If anyone was stupid enough to both want to assault trans activists and try to organise it via mumsnet I would expect them to be banned and reported to the police.

LostLurker · 20/10/2018 13:43

There is another above that - “If I ever see you or any of your other TRA accomplices, I will personally smash your head so hard that you won’t be recognisable”.

Initially, I took it to be from a TRA, but then I read it more carefully. It doesn’t sound like something a woman would say to me. More like something a man or trans woman pretending to be a GC feminist might say, if they were trying to support the view that we are threatening them. Why hasn’t it been taken down anyway?

Invisible1234 · 20/10/2018 13:45

The TRAs are voting now...down to 83%.

LostLurker · 20/10/2018 13:46

Sorry, perhaps it’s not a good idea to set it out in full on here. Should I get it removed? Genuinely struggling with all this at the moment.

Now100 · 20/10/2018 14:01

I can't see the threats now, thankfully they have been removed. I agree they're not from feminists, I've never seen anything like that on here (or similar talkboards).

boatyardblues · 20/10/2018 14:10

At 14:09, currently 83% No to 17% yes. So broadly in line with the polling which Pink News commissioned.

nicenewdusters · 20/10/2018 14:11

Just added my "no". A democratic voice for a woman is just anathema to these TRAs.

glenthebattleostrich · 20/10/2018 14:13

Just voted and shared.
