A ray of hope is dawning. Maybe five or ten years down the line this will all be material for an absolutely hilarious sitcom.

They smoke bombed the Metro! Even though the Metro accepted Stonewall's ad! And even though the Metro staff weren't in the bloody office! And they made an enemy of the Daily Mail! And then they tried to blame "the terfs" for it and cooked up a conspiracy theory that implies the government were in on it.

I can't even, as the Tumblrites would say. This is all just too ridiculous to be true. And now I think about it, how is it even possible that the likes of Rachel McKinnon and Danielle Muscato are real people and not sitcom characters? Can we just all pause to think about Roz Kaveney and "huge hairy prongs" a bit, some more, and laugh our asses off?

How the hell have these utter muppets managed to get so much social power? TRAs are ridiculous people - why does anyone take them seriously? Maybe I shouldn't be laughing so hard - I know this situation is scary, and sinister, and the smoke bomb could have genuinely hurt someone, and the threats to womens' rights are absolutely not a joke but I've typed this whole comment and I'm still laughing.

We need to watch what they accuse us of. That will give an indication of what to expect from them.

Absolutely Joan. The best way to predict what an abuser (or in this case, group of abusers) will do next. Reversals.

Meanwhile, armed only with adhesive substances... she persisted.

thenightsky · 19/10/2018 21:27

JoanSummers Can I use your below post on FB argument please?

They're escalating

Yep.

Trans activists have physically attacked women.
They've worn balaclavas to block women from buildings and called them c*nts.
They've run countless smear campaigns.
They've committed property damage.
They've issued bomb threats.
Some trans activists have committed sexual asaults, and excused rapes, and called for rapes, and exposed their genitals in public.
They've abused children.
They've posed with axes and bats studded with nails and knives and threatened to kill women.
Trans activists have now smoke bombed a newspaper.
Women meet in secret because of fear of what trans activists are capable of.
MPs hide their identity when they meet with women's rights activists because of fear of what trans activists are capable of.
Journalists avoid writing about the topic because of fear of what trans activists are capable of.

When will our politicians take this seriously and do something about it?

Carrrotsandcauliflower · 19/10/2018 21:48

Interested to see what the metro’s take on the story will be.

Oh well, going by that they are probably putting razor blades under stickers.
Except I am not sure how realistic that whole thing is...
Wink

If it's helpful to you thenightsky of course.

It's mad isn't it?

thenightsky · 19/10/2018 22:22

Thank you Joan

heresyandwitchcraft · 19/10/2018 22:23

Can we all wake up and smell the fascism? How do we show support for the Metro? This is outrageous!

MagicMix · 19/10/2018 22:30

Surely if aggressive and literally violent leafletting warrants mounted police response, they must have sent at least a few fully armed riot police along to an incident of this scale?

Anyway, it looks like some supporters of the movement didn't get the memo about using a constructive, friendly, innocent tone to win hearts and minds.

MsMcWoodle · 19/10/2018 22:30

Have you guys seen this one from earlier today? This is still from a video where this charmer opens a flick knife,

MagicMix · 19/10/2018 22:39

Whenever I see "TWAW" on that bloody sign I get a mad urge to pop up behind them with a "No they're not, they are very naughty boys" placard and an outfit like Brians mum in Life of Brain

Haha YES. Somebody do this.

MagicMix · 19/10/2018 22:40

Except not really, because knowing these people that little joke would put you at real risk for bodily harm.

BeyondAdultHumanFemale · 19/10/2018 22:47

Oh Sarah, just imagine a placard with "you're not a woman, you're a very naughty boy - now go away!" on it!! Shock Grin

BeyondAdultHumanFemale · 19/10/2018 22:48
PositivelyPERF · 19/10/2018 23:16

I wonder if they knew the consultation was going to be extended....my guess is not.

I agree. I think the arrogant fuckers thought it was all over, so they could show their true face. I wonder if any of them, on hearing it’s being extended, are now thinking “oh fuck! Oh fuck! Oh fuck!” 😱

🤣

frogintheTyne · 19/10/2018 23:19

So how did the Metro smoke-bombing end? Or are they still there?

JoanSummers · 19/10/2018 23:46

This is still from a video where this charmer opens a flick knife

Bad wig, too much makeup applied badly, thick glasses.. no doubt a horrible dress just out of shot. It's like a uniform.

ToeToToe · 19/10/2018 23:55

Posing with a knife now. No, I can't imagine how we find Trans-activists threatening huh?

Anyone imagine Debbie, Fionne or Miranda posing and threatening women like that? No, me neither.

We need to be able to distinguish.

I for one, am very pissed off about what I heard on the BBC today:

That the GRA is not fit for purpose, because less than 5000 have got one.

When the GRA was passed in 2004, it was recorded in Hansard that this law change would only affect "around 5000 severely dysphoric people."

Talk about thin end of the wedge.

ToeToToe · 19/10/2018 23:57

Debbie, Fionne and Miranda - and every transexual like them, have the right to be extremely pissed off.

I stand with them. No to self ID.

ToeToToe · 19/10/2018 23:58

twitter.com/gay_kayjay/status/1053399856604168192

Incidentally, this is how trans-activists see things.

They are lions, we are sheep.

No reason to be scared at all, obviously.

silentcrow · 19/10/2018 23:59

"Down with this sort of thing", for maximum annoyance. Grin

BigotedWoman · 20/10/2018 00:06

I sort of wish Paul Dacre was still at the Mail. Can't think he'd hold back if it had happened on his watch.
