www.spectator.co.uk/2018/10/good-news-now-everyone-can-be-a-victim/

There's not been a lot of coverage on this, I've only seen it on Yahoo and in the Sun so far. It's in the magazine this week.

Yes, very erm...acidic. But quite rightly so.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 19/10/2018 15:27

Rachel McKinnon also identifies as a ‘doctor’, having completed a PhD in Specious Twattery at some dimbo college in Canada

Grin

I'm identifying as 'pissed off woman' today.

Oh hang on, I actually am a 'pissed off woman' so no self ID is necessary.

tobee · 19/10/2018 15:34

Is there a share token?

BigotedWoman · 19/10/2018 15:54

I don't think they do share tokens but if you register you can read a few articles a week tobee.

Cheers!

Here’s a phrase I never thought I would say: I just signed up to the digital version of The Spectator (12 issues for £12 and a free umbrella) just to read Rod Liddle’s column 😂.
[but I will stay for James Kirkup]

silentcrow · 19/10/2018 16:30

Yes, very erm...acidic. But quite rightly so.

The man really is a giant bottle of piss and vinegar, isn't he! Grin

Who's going to suggest he should be kinder, then?

I have been looking for somewhere to post an amusing thought about the whole self Id debacle. Here seems good.
It crossed my mind that next time I am at a rugby match and need the loo I am going to decide I feelz male and self id as a man and wisk into their loo and use a cubicle.
I tried this last year at Cardiff and the men queuing for urinals were quite vocal about women not using the 'blokes' loos. If they start up again this Yr I can sweetly tell the police outside I am a victim of a hate crime.
Brilliant.
I soooo want to see one of the trans women activists(pl) standing in a massive queue for the ladies loo... Looking longingly at the gents with no queue

TimeLady · 19/10/2018 16:50

I'm hoping Rachel reads Rod's column and decides to take him on...…Grin

ludog · 19/10/2018 17:26

Rachel was on Irish radio this week. My blood pressure is just about back to normal. One particular gem was "people are surprised when I tell them I'm trans"...yes, dear I'm sure they are but not in the way you think!

Mrskeats · 19/10/2018 17:29

This is the only thing I agree with him on. Shared enemies etc.

AspieAndProud · 19/10/2018 18:05

I don’t like Liddell. I think he’s a bit of an arsehole. But he doesn’t mind people thinking he’s a bit of an arsehole and - more importantly - nor do his editors, and that gives him the freedom to say what the rest of us can’t.

MonsterSister · 19/10/2018 18:45

TRAs are much less keen to take on unkind people than kind ones. Funny, that.

gendercritter · 19/10/2018 18:50

I can't stand Rod Liddle. He is a shithead, in my opinion. I am still glad he's tackling this issue and saying it how it is.
