I figured I had very little hope with mine (Labour, woman, I was right). But I wanted to be able to say that I have told my elected representative what my specific concerns are, and that she is wrong on this issue.
If nothing else, I found it a load off my own conscience. I can say with conviction that she has heard the problems now - if she goes ahead with TWAW, then she has deliberately chosen to ignore the wishes of many ordinary women.
Even with a hostile audience, you can at least say you have spoken up.
