I've mentioned this elsewhere over the last year or so.
I happened to go to a meeting in a building in London.
I didn't know who else occupied the office space.
There were a couple of things I noticed, during my time there.
Gender neutral toilets (no probs, as there were male and female ones too)
A couple of very obvious transwomen walked past our meeting space.
The event that made me [sceptical] and really notice who else was in the building was when I left:-
I went to talk to the receptionist and there was a person bent over the desk in a pose I've never seen outside Benny Hill/stereotypical characterisations of 'women' ever.
Boobs out, leg up.
I don't think I can do the situation justice without anti-women activists saying I'm being mean. But it jarred so much for me.
All the things women avoid 'being' to enable us to be taken seriously in the workplace.
This person was acting out.
And this person was obviously male. Despite their awesome body (all power to you, male person, you looked fab, as a male person performing 'femininity stereotypes' but your performance of 'doing woman' shits all over the majority of us who are trying to get rid of that stereotype).
And then I found out this was Gendered Intelligence's Headquarters.
