Genital preferences / cotton ceiling

I saw the thread on twitter recently detailing the abuse lesbians were getting on social media for saying they only have same sex relationships. It made me wonder how mainstream this is? Is this just an extreme few individuals or is this a more widespread belief by "mainstream" TRAs who are often in the media. I've seen TRAs say the whole cotton ceiling thing was a fringe event attended by almost no one, but also saw you tube video by Riley D saying to have genital preferences I transphobic. Interested in your experience, what you've come across

If you believe TWAW the obviously it follows that to not consider a tw as a partner due to trans status is transphobic.

I don't think transmen are so um ethusiastic in their pursuit of gay male partners but same applies

This is highly homophobic obviously.

Funnily enough, nothingonthetelly, men both straight and gay don't seem to be subject to the same vitriol if they do say they wouldn't sleep with a trans woman / man either. I wonder why that could be.
