Tony McGinn, known as 'Tony Bark' to his friends, says he has been into animal role-play his entire life, and refers to himself as a 'human pup'.
[...]But that doesn't mean Tony doesn't think of himself as a 'real dog'. He states confidently that he 'identifies as a dog' and says pet play is about getting into the head-space of the animal.
Would it be a fair comparison to the proposed changes to the GRA to say it would be as if Tony wanted to actually be recognised as an actual dog, insisted that trans dogs were dogs and wanted to receive medical treatment by a vet, be groomed by a dog groomer, and enter crufts dog show?
Tony obviously is not wanting those things but if they were, would that be similar to what some transactivists are after?
