Would it be a fair comparison to the proposed changes to the GRA to say it would be as if Tony wanted to actually be recognised as an actual dog, insisted that trans dogs were dogs and wanted to receive medical treatment by a vet, be groomed by a dog groomer, and enter crufts dog show?

Tony obviously is not wanting those things but if they were, would that be similar to what some transactivists are after?

I’m quite sure my vet would volunteer to neuter Tony, in the interests of population control and eliminating humping behaviour. Of course.

Sorry, wasn’t meant to be a drip feed, the two paragraphs I wanted to copy had an advert in between so the second bit got lost.

It wasn’t the location that was the pertinent info that I’d forgotten but the fact that it was a trans identified woman who then went on to identify as a dog, although presumably not in the same way as they don’t actually think they’re a dog. But yes, this happened in America not here. Sorry for confusion.

No. Insisting you can change biological sex is daft, and some extremists really are that loopy, but it isn't helpful to talk about Transgender people in this way. It fuels the allegations of transphobia.
