In today's Times. Didn't think I could hold him in any more contempt than I already did, tbh.

Why am I not surprised. In NZ a rugby player who dragged his partner down the street and beat her, got off without conviction because a conviction would unfairly affect his brand new Irish rugby contract. The Irish club decided to terminate the contract anyway so he won’t be going, but he got away with beating a woman on the street without being convicted. Oh he also said he was sorry, and she forgave him, so obviously that means he shouldn’t be punished further. He did feel bad and his feelings should be taken into account of course. Poor guy.

He is behaving like a massive trombone. I hope they tell him to fuck off. He lost his opportunities in Ireland due to the fact he treats women like shit. Ugh

This is interesting. Talks about the impact on prosecutions if this sets a precedent for alleged rapists being able to recover defence costs. It really feels like a concerted effort to stop women getting justice
