I've had a look and couldn't see a thread.

I've been reading Ian's story of what happened to his Daughter after a man exposed himself at her on the way to work.

www.heraldscotland.com/news/16967692.my-daughter-was-the-victim-of-a-sex-crime-but-the-justice-system-failed-her-and-now-she-is-in-danger/?ref=mrb&lp=10

And his realisation today

And the current thread on Twitter

I’m not even going to rehearse the ‘not all men’ argument – that ‘not all men’ are abusive or predatory. I detest those three malignant words – they are a great wall standing in the way of men confronting the problems of their sex. Those words prevent our betterment as men. When I hear the words ‘not all men’, I see an apologist for misogyny – an enabler who is part of the problem.

It takes a man to say it to make people listen.

This is appalling and I had exact same response from Police after assault, which was then followed by harassment. I should say also I had an advocate from RC with me when I went to the police. I really have no respect for the Police now. Still fobbed off, despite evidence, texts, letters, etc

So much ^^ This. It's exactly what Jackson Katz addresses in his research and talks. To paraphrase, domestic violence and sexual harassment are women's issues, they're men's issues and they should address them.

GulagsMyArse · 13/10/2018 10:19

Exactly, this is a problem that men need to face and address,

Should read, aren't women's issues, they're men's issues - this stupid auto-immune thing affects my sight in the morning and my glasses don't help because they are set for my 'normal' sight.

Very good article.

There was an thread about his previous article on Cait's experiences - his daughter is very brave to waive her anonymity to speak out, and well done to him for pursuing this. It's absolutely shocking.

Thank you arranfan
