I'm always conflicted when I see this. Awful that his daughter is going through this, and that it took his daughter going through this to open his eyes to this stuff. But heartened that the scales have fallen and another man 'gets it' and is looking to do something about it - I'd like to think women and girls will gain from this.

Experience tells me it's unlikely that it'll make a huge difference but here's hoping.

But actually seriously fair play to him for publicly acknowledging his previous and reducing ignorance, and apologising.

Until men are properly on board with genuinely being allies and not just staying silent and turning away, no real change will happen.
